Figure 6: Setting Method and Button Overview

1. Initial Setup (Water Tank Height & Gap)

  1. Upon powering on, the receiver automatically enters the water tank height setting interface. The 'TANK LEVEL' display will show '0.00'.
  2. Use the +/max/min or -/tank keys to set the total height of your water tank. For example, if your tank is 10 meters high, set it to '10.00'.
  3. Press the set key to proceed to the gap setting interface. This is the distance from the bottom of the sensor to the water outlet, which must be ≥ 0.5 meters.
  4. Use the +/max/min or -/tank keys to set this clearance. For example, if the gap is 0.8 meters, set it to '0.80'.
  5. Press the set key again to exit the setup and return to standard display mode.

2. Time Setting

  1. In standard display mode, press and hold the set key for more than 3 seconds to enter the time setting interface.
  2. The setting order is: 24/12 hours format → clock → minute → temperature unit (°C/°F) → water tank unit (meters/feet).
  3. Use the +/max/min or -/tank keys to adjust the values.
  4. Press the set key to move to the next setting.
  5. After setting all parameters, press set again to exit.

3. Alarm Setting

  1. In standard display mode, first press the alarm key, then long press the set key for more than 3 seconds to enter the alarm setting interface.
  2. The sequence is: alarm time setting → upper limit alarm setting (HI AL) → lower limit alarm setting (LO AL).
  3. When setting the alarm time, use +/max/min or -/tank to adjust. Press alarm to toggle the alarm on/off. The '((.))' icon indicates the alarm is on.
  4. When setting the upper and lower limit alarms, use +/max/min or -/tank to adjust the water level thresholds. Press alarm to toggle the specific limit alarm on/off. The 'HI AL' or 'LO AL' icons indicate the respective alarm is on.
  5. Press the set key to move to the next setting.
  6. After setting all parameters, press set again to exit.

4. Buzzer Control

  • The buzzer is enabled by default.
  • To disable the buzzer alarm, press the alarm key. After approximately 5 seconds, the alarm icon 'ON' will disappear.
  • To enable the buzzer alarm, press the alarm key again for 5 seconds. The alarm icon 'ON' will become visible.

5. Low Water Level Indicator

When the water level is below 20% of the tank's total depth, the 'EMPTY' icon will be displayed on the receiver.

6. Viewing Min/Max Records

In standard display mode, press the +/max/min button to cycle through and view the recorded maximum and minimum water levels and temperatures.

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the transmitter and receiver when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Refer to the 'Setup Instructions' for battery types and installation.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the display unit and transmitter with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Environmental Considerations: This device is designed for water tanks only. It is not suitable for cement or concrete water tanks, or tanks containing fuels or other liquids. Avoid installing the transmitter in locations prone to heavy snow or ice accumulation, as this may interfere with ultrasonic readings.

Troubleshooting

  • No Reading on Receiver:
    • Check if batteries are correctly installed and not depleted in both the transmitter and receiver.
    • Ensure the transmitter is installed correctly on the water tank, meeting all height and clearance conditions.
    • Verify that the distance between the transmitter and receiver is within the 100m range and there are no significant obstructions.
  • Inaccurate Water Level Reading:
    • Re-enter the initial setup mode and verify that the water tank height and sensor gap settings are accurate.
    • Ensure the transmitter's ultrasonic sensor is clean and free from debris.
    • Confirm the tank is not made of concrete or cement, as the device is not compatible with these materials.
  • Alarm Not Functioning:
    • Check the alarm settings to ensure the alarm time and upper/lower limits are correctly configured and activated (indicated by the '((.))', 'HI AL', or 'LO AL' icons).
    • Verify the buzzer is enabled (the 'ON' icon should be visible).

User Tips

  • The wireless transmission range is up to 100 meters in an open, free field. Obstacles like walls and buildings will reduce this range. Position the receiver strategically for best signal reception.
  • This meter is suitable for various water tank sizes, provided the water level is within the 0 to 15-meter measurement range. Small tanks (e.g., 1 to 1.5 meters high) are fully compatible.
  • Always ensure the device is used exclusively for water tanks. It is not designed or recommended for measuring levels in fuel tanks or other non-water liquids.
