6. Setup
6.1 Hardware Installation
- Choose Location: Select a suitable location for your camera, considering the viewing angle and proximity to a power source. For bird nests, ensure the camera is securely mounted and does not disturb the birds.
- Mounting: Use the provided screws and either Bracket A or Bracket B to securely mount the camera. Bracket B offers more flexibility for adjusting the camera's angle.
- Connect Power: Connect a DC12V 1A power adapter (not included) to the camera's DC12V connector.
- Install SD Card (Optional): If you plan to use local storage, insert a Micro SD card (up to 128GB) into the SD card slot.
- Attach WiFi Antenna: Ensure the WiFi antenna is securely attached to the camera for optimal wireless signal reception.
6.2 Software Installation (Mobile App)
Download the "CamHi" or "Camhipro" app from your device's app store or scan the QR codes below:

6.3 Initial Configuration (AP Mode)
This method allows you to connect to the camera directly via its own WiFi hotspot for initial setup.
- Power On: Connect the camera to power. Do NOT connect a network cable if you intend to use WiFi.
- Check Signal: Ensure the wireless signal value of the camera's installation location is higher than 70% in the app's signal list.
- Find Hotspot: On your phone, go to "Settings" > "WLAN". Look for a WiFi network named "IPCAM-******" (where ****** is a number). If not found, reset the camera by pressing the reset button for 7 seconds.
- Connect to Hotspot: Connect to the "IPCAM-******" hotspot. The default password is "01234567".
- Open App: Open the CamHi/Camhipro app.
- Add Device: Click "Add Camera" > "IP camera" > "New device".
- Configure Wireless: The app will prompt you to configure wireless settings. Enter your home Wi-Fi network name and password.
- Name Camera: Name your camera (e.g., "Birdhouse Camera") and confirm.
- View Camera: The camera should now be added and online. Click on it to view the live feed.

6.4 PC Client Setup
The camera also supports a multi-channel CMS PC client software for viewing and managing the camera from your computer. The software will be provided by the seller (often via email or download link). Follow the on-screen instructions within the PC client for setup.

7. Operating Instructions
7.1 Live View
Once the camera is successfully added to the mobile app or PC client, click on the camera icon to access the live video feed. You can typically switch between different resolutions if supported by your device and network.
7.2 Recording
The camera supports various recording methods:
- Micro SD Card Recording: Videos can be recorded directly to an inserted Micro SD card. Configure recording schedules (e.g., continuous, motion-triggered, timed) within the app settings.
- PC Hard Disk Recording: The PC client software allows recording video streams directly to your computer's hard drive.
- NVR Recording: As the camera supports ONVIF 2.4, it can be integrated with a compatible Network Video Recorder (NVR) for centralized recording.
7.3 Playback
To view recorded footage:
- Mobile App: Access the playback feature within the CamHi/Camhipro app to review recordings stored on the Micro SD card.
- PC Client: Use the PC client software to play back recordings from the Micro SD card or the PC's hard drive.
7.4 Night Vision
The camera is equipped with 940nm invisible IR LEDs, providing clear black-and-white video in low-light or no-light conditions without emitting a visible red glow. The built-in IR-CUT filter automatically switches between day (color) and night (monochrome) modes to ensure accurate color reproduction during the day and enhanced clarity at night.

7.5 Motion Detection
Configure motion detection settings in the app to receive alerts and trigger recordings when movement is detected. You can set up to 4 independent detection regions and adjust sensitivity from 1 to 100.

10. User Tips
- For bird nest monitoring, a 2.8mm lens is recommended for the best image quality and wider field of view within the confined space.
- When setting up the camera via AP mode, ensure your phone's WiFi is connected to the camera's hotspot before proceeding with adding the device in the app.
- If you encounter issues with WiFi signal strength, try repositioning the camera or ensuring it's within range of your router. The app recommends a signal strength of over 70%.
- Remember to change the default admin password for enhanced security after initial setup.
11. Warranty and Support
This product comes with a 12-month Manufacturer's limited Warranty for defective items (excluding items damaged and/or misused after receipt). Defective items must be reported and returned within the warranty period and in the original packaging, if possible. Prior to any return, a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be obtained by contacting the seller. The buyer is responsible for the cost of returning any merchandise.
