3. Setup Guide

3.1. Connecting the Printer

  1. Connect the power adapter to the printer and plug the power cable into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Connect the printer to your computer using the provided USB cable. For Ethernet models, connect an Ethernet cable to your network. For Bluetooth models, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device or computer.

3.2. Driver Installation

For Windows operating systems, download the appropriate driver from the official Xprinter website:

  1. Open the printer's top cover.
  2. Insert a roll of thermal paper (labels or receipts) with the printing side facing up.
  3. Ensure the paper is aligned correctly and close the cover firmly.

3.4. Selecting Print Mode (Label/Receipt)

The XP-365B supports both label and receipt printing. The mode can be changed directly on the printer:

  • To change mode: Press and hold the 'Pause' key, then turn on the power. When you hear two beeps, release the keys. The printer will print its current mode. Press the 'Feed' key to toggle between label and receipt modes.

4.1. Basic Printing

After installing the drivers and loading paper, you can print from your application. Ensure the correct printer driver (e.g., 365B driver for labels, XP-80 or POS-80 driver for receipts) is selected in your software's print settings.

4.2. Mobile Printing (Bluetooth)

For mobile printing, use the Xlabel app. Pair your mobile device with the printer via Bluetooth. The app allows you to design and print labels or receipts directly from your smartphone or tablet.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning the Print Head

The printer features an automatic temperature control print head to prevent damage. To maintain print quality and prolong the life of your printer, regularly clean the print head. Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol. Gently wipe the print head surface.

5.2. General Care

  • Keep the printer in a clean, dust-free environment.
  • Avoid exposing the printer to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. Characters are Garbled

  • For label printing: Ensure the printer is set to label mode and you are using the 365B driver.
  • For receipt printing: Ensure the printer is set to receipt mode and you are using the 80mm receipt printer driver (e.g., XP-80 or POS-80 driver).

6.2. Printer Not Responding

  • Check all cable connections (power, USB, Ethernet).
  • Ensure the printer is powered on.
  • Verify that the correct driver is installed and selected in your printing application.
  • Restart the printer and your computer/mobile device.

6.3. Connectivity Issues

  • Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both devices and they are paired. Use the Xlabel app for mobile printing.
  • Ethernet: Check network cable and router connection. Verify IP settings if configured manually.
  • USB: Try a different USB port or cable.
