5.2 Connecting Test Leads
The multimeter comes with a detachable test lead. To use it for measurements requiring two probes:
- Insert the black test lead into the designated port at the bottom of the multimeter.
- The red probe is integrated into the pen tip.
- Ensure the test lead is firmly connected before taking any measurements.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Long press the red 'Select' button to turn on the multimeter.
- Power Off: Long press the red 'Select' button again to turn off the multimeter. The device also features an automatic shutdown function after a period of inactivity.
6.2 Auto Mode
Upon powering on, the multimeter defaults to 'Auto' mode. In this mode, it automatically identifies and measures:
- DC Voltage
- AC Voltage
- Resistance
- Continuity
Simply touch the probes to the circuit or component, and the device will display the appropriate measurement. The display will indicate 'DC' for direct current or 'AC' for alternating current.

6.3 Manual Mode (Function Selection)
Press the red 'Select' button briefly to cycle through different manual measurement functions. The available functions include:
- Voltage (DC/AC): Measures voltage. The device will automatically detect DC or AC.
- Resistance (Ω): Measures resistance.
- Capacitance (F): Measures capacitance.
- Frequency (Hz): (MT007 Pro only) Measures frequency.
- Diode Test: Checks the functionality and forward voltage drop of diodes.
- Continuity Test: Checks for an unbroken electrical path with an audible buzzer.
- Temperature (°C/°F): Measures ambient temperature.
6.4 Voltage Measurement
In 'Auto' mode or selected Voltage mode, touch the red probe to the positive point and the black probe to the negative point of the circuit. The display will show the voltage reading and indicate 'DC' or 'AC'.

6.5 Live/Neutral Wire Detection (N/LP Button)
Press the 'N/LP' button to activate the Live/Neutral detection function. This can be used in two ways:
- Non-Contact: Hold the tip of the multimeter near a wire or outlet. The device will indicate 'LUE' (Live) or 'N' (Neutral) on the display, and the LED indicator will change color (red for live, green for neutral).
- Contact: For more precise detection, touch the tip directly to the conductor.
6.6 Phase Sequence Detection (MT007 Pro/Pro-EN only)
In manual mode, press 'Select' until 'PABC' appears on the display. This mode is used to determine the phase sequence in three-phase electrical systems.
6.7 Diode Test
In Diode Test mode, connect the probes across the diode. The display will show the forward voltage drop. If the diode is faulty or connected in reverse, it will show 'OL' (Overload) or a different reading.

6.8 Continuity Test
In Continuity Test mode, connect the probes to the two points you want to test. If there is continuity (a complete circuit), the buzzer will sound, and the display will show a low resistance value. If there is no continuity, it will show 'OL'.
6.9 Flashlight
Long press the 'N/LP' button to turn the built-in flashlight on or off. This is useful for illuminating dark work areas.
6.10 Data Hold
Press the 'Hold' button briefly to freeze the current reading on the display. Press it again to release the hold function.
6.11 Voice Broadcast (MT007 Pro-EN only)
The MT007 Pro-EN model features voice broadcast for readings. To disable or enable this feature, press and hold the 'N/LP' button while turning on the device. The broadcast language is English only.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the AAA battery when the low voltage indicator appears on the display to ensure accurate readings.
- Storage: Store the multimeter in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
8. Troubleshooting
- No Display/Power On: Check if the battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Replace the battery if necessary.
- Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the test leads are properly connected and the probes are making good contact with the circuit. Verify that the correct measurement mode is selected (if not in Auto mode).
- 'OL' on Display: This usually indicates an overload or an open circuit, meaning the measured value is beyond the device's range or there is no connection.
9. User Tips
- Always ensure the probes are clean and free from debris for optimal contact and accurate readings.
- When measuring voltage, always start with the highest range if you are unsure of the expected voltage to prevent damage to the device.
- Utilize the flashlight function in poorly lit environments to improve visibility and safety during measurements.
