2. Safety Precautions

When operating, the soldering iron tip can reach temperatures up to 500°C. To prevent burns and fires, please observe the following safety guidelines:

  • Do not touch the soldering iron tip or any metal parts around it when hot.

5. Setup

5.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure the following items are present:

  • 5 PCS Different Soldering Tips

  • Soldering Iron Stand with Sponge
  • Protective Cap
  • User Manual

5.2 Preparing the Soldering Iron Stand

Before use, add a small amount of water to the sponge in the soldering iron stand. This sponge is used to clean the soldering tip during operation.

5.3 Attaching a Soldering Tip

Select the appropriate soldering tip for your task. Unscrew the screw nut, insert the desired tip into the heating core, and then securely fasten the screw nut. Ensure the tip is firmly seated.

5.4 Power Connection

Connect the soldering iron's power plug to a suitable AC 110V or 220V power outlet, depending on your model and region. The power cable is 1.5 meters long and CE certified.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

After plugging in the soldering iron, the screen will display 'OFF'. To power on, short press the power button (O). The screen will light up, indicating it's ready for use. To power off, short press the power button again.

6.2 Temperature Adjustment

Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the temperature. Each press will change the temperature by 5°C/9°F. The default temperature value is 9 groups (180°C-480°C / 356°F-896°F). The soldering iron heats up quickly, reaching 480°C in approximately 1 minute.

6.3 Celsius/Fahrenheit Conversion

To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F):

  1. Ensure the soldering iron is in 'OFF' mode.
  2. Press and hold both the '+' and '-' buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
  3. The temperature unit will switch. The setting will automatically save and exit after 3 seconds if no further input is detected.

6.4 Automatic Sleep Mode

The soldering iron features an automatic sleep mode that activates after 15 minutes of inactivity. This feature helps to save energy, prolong the life of the soldering iron tip, and prevent potential fire hazards.

6.5 Temperature Compensation Adjustment (Offset Temperature)

To adjust the temperature offset:

  1. Plug in the power supply.
  2. Press and hold both the '+' and '-' buttons simultaneously.
  3. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to modify the offset value (±99°C / 210°F).
  4. If no button is pressed for three seconds, the setting will automatically save and exit.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning the Soldering Tip

Regularly clean the soldering tip by wiping it on the wet sponge provided in the stand. This helps to remove excess solder and oxidation, ensuring efficient heat transfer and prolonging tip life.

7.2 Tip Replacement

The soldering iron tips are removable for easy replacement. Ensure the iron is cool before attempting to change tips. Unscrew the screw nut, remove the old tip, insert the new tip, and re-tighten the screw nut.

7.3 Storage

After use and once the soldering iron has cooled down, cover the tip with the safety heat-resistant cap. This protects the tip and prevents accidental burns. Store the soldering iron in a safe, dry place.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1 Error Messages

  • "H-E" Displayed: Indicates a heating element issue.
  • "S-E" Displayed: Indicates a sensor or related circuit issue.

  • Soldering iron not heating up: Check if the power cable is securely plugged in and the device is switched on. Ensure no error messages are displayed.

  • Smoke during operation: This is normal. Ensure adequate ventilation in your workspace.
