1. Introduction

The Boblov NK-1000 is a versatile laser rangefinder designed for various outdoor activities, including hunting, golf, sports, and engineering. It features 6.5x magnification multi-coated HD optics, multiple measurement modes, and a rechargeable lithium battery, providing rapid and accurate distance measurements.

3. Device Layout and Controls

Familiarize yourself with the various parts and controls of your Boblov NK-1000 Laser Rangefinder:

4. Setup and Charging

4.1 Initial Charging

The Boblov NK-1000 is equipped with a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the device.

  1. Locate the USB charging port on the side of the rangefinder.
  2. Connect the provided USB cable to the rangefinder and a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
  3. The charging indicator will typically show red while charging and turn green when fully charged.

4.2 Attaching the Strap

Attach the included strap to the rangefinder for secure handling and to prevent accidental drops.

4.3 Adjusting the Eyepiece

For clear viewing, adjust the eyepiece to match your vision:

  1. Look through the eyepiece.
  2. Rotate the adjustable eyepiece until the image in the display appears sharp and clear. This frees you from needing glasses while using the device.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press the Power ON/OFF Switch briefly. The display will activate.
  • To Power Off: The device will automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery. You can also press and hold the Power ON/OFF Switch to manually turn it off.

5.2 Switching Measurement Modes

The NK-1000 features 7 different measurement modes. Press the Mode Switch button to cycle through the available modes. The current mode will be indicated on the LCD display.

5.3 Measurement Modes Overview

The Boblov NK-1000 offers multiple measurement modes to suit various applications:

  1. Range Mode: Measures the straight-line distance to a stationary target. Aim at the target and press the Power ON/OFF Switch. The distance will be displayed. This mode is suitable for general distance measurement in hunting, golf, and other outdoor activities.

  2. Scan Mode: For continuous measurement of moving targets or to track distances to multiple obstacles. Press and hold the Power ON/OFF Switch while sweeping across targets. This is useful for hunting, hiking, mountaineering, or other sports where continuous tracking is needed.

  3. Speed Mode: Aim at a moving target to calculate its speed. The device can measure speeds up to 300 km/h. This mode is ideal for observing sports like horse racing or car racing.

  4. Bow Mode (HD): Primarily used to measure the true horizontal distance from your position to the target object, especially useful in hunting scenarios with elevation changes.

5.4 Slope Ballistic Correcting Function

The device includes a slope ballistic correcting function, which automatically calculates and displays the compensated distance for uphill or downhill shots, particularly beneficial for golf to provide accurate 'play-as' distances.

  • Storage: Store the rangefinder in its carrying case in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid extreme temperatures and high humidity.
  • Battery Care: Recharge the lithium battery regularly, even if the device is not used frequently, to maintain battery health. Avoid completely draining the battery for extended periods.
