9. Maintenance

9.1. Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance, keep the lens and display screen clean. Use a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, a small amount of lens cleaning solution can be applied to the cloth (not directly to the lens).

9.2. Storage

When not in use, store the thermal imager in its protective bag in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. The recommended storage temperature is -40°C to 60°C, with relative humidity below 85%RH.

10. Troubleshooting

  • Device not turning on: Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Connect the device to a power source using the USB cable and try again.
  • Unclear images: Adjust the manual focus by rotating the lens. Ensure the lens is clean and free from smudges or dust.
  • Inaccurate temperature readings: Verify that the emissivity setting is appropriate for the material being measured. Different materials have different emissivities. Environmental factors like air currents can also affect readings.
  • Wi-Fi connection issues: Double-check that Wi-Fi is enabled on the camera and that you are connecting to the correct network name ("ThermalCamera-xxxxxx"). Ensure the IP address 192.168.230.1 is entered correctly in your mobile browser.

11. User Tips

  • Emissivity Settings: For accurate temperature measurements, always ensure the emissivity setting matches the material you are inspecting. For example, human skin has a different emissivity than painted metal or wood. Consult an emissivity table if unsure.
  • Thermal Video: The A-BF RX-700 primarily captures still thermal images. While it supports real-time screen sharing via Wi-Fi, direct video recording to the device's internal memory is not a specified feature.
  • Environmental Factors: Be aware that ambient temperature, humidity, and air currents can influence thermal readings. For critical measurements, try to control these factors.

12. Warranty and Support

For any technical assistance, warranty claims, or further inquiries, please contact the seller or manufacturer directly. Keep your purchase receipt as proof of purchase.
