7.3 Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
8. Troubleshooting
- Device not acquiring GPS signal / values at zero: Ensure you are in an open outdoor area with a clear view of the sky. Buildings, dense tree cover, or indoor environments can obstruct GPS signals. Allow a few moments for the device to connect to satellites upon startup.
- Backlight always on: Check the device settings for backlight control options. If the issue persists, a factory reset (if available) or contacting support may be necessary.
- No route recording / memory: The CYCPLUS G1 primarily displays real-time cycling data. It does not have internal memory for detailed route recording or direct connectivity to platforms like Strava for data synchronization.
9. User Tips
- Odometer (Total Mileage): The device tracks total accumulated mileage. This value is typically not user-settable or resettable to prevent tampering with total distance records.
- No External Sensors Needed: The G1 uses its built-in GPS for all speed and distance measurements, eliminating the need for additional wheel sensors or magnets.
- Auto-Sleep Behavior: While the manual states auto-sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity, some users have reported it activating after 3 minutes of stopping. Be aware that you may need to manually turn it back on if it enters sleep mode quickly after a short stop.
10. Warranty and Support
