7.3 Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Device not acquiring GPS signal / values at zero: Ensure you are in an open outdoor area with a clear view of the sky. Buildings, dense tree cover, or indoor environments can obstruct GPS signals. Allow a few moments for the device to connect to satellites upon startup.
  • Backlight always on: Check the device settings for backlight control options. If the issue persists, a factory reset (if available) or contacting support may be necessary.
  • No route recording / memory: The CYCPLUS G1 primarily displays real-time cycling data. It does not have internal memory for detailed route recording or direct connectivity to platforms like Strava for data synchronization.

9. User Tips

  • Odometer (Total Mileage): The device tracks total accumulated mileage. This value is typically not user-settable or resettable to prevent tampering with total distance records.
  • No External Sensors Needed: The G1 uses its built-in GPS for all speed and distance measurements, eliminating the need for additional wheel sensors or magnets.
  • Auto-Sleep Behavior: While the manual states auto-sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity, some users have reported it activating after 3 minutes of stopping. Be aware that you may need to manually turn it back on if it enters sleep mode quickly after a short stop.

10. Warranty and Support

For warranty information, technical support, or service inquiries, please refer to the contact details provided by your retailer or the official CYCPLUS website. Keep your proof of purchase for warranty claims.
