- Cleaning: Keep the controller and display clean and dry. Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning; avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Wiring Inspection: Periodically check all wiring for any cuts, fraying, or damage. Replace damaged wires immediately to prevent electrical hazards.
- Ventilation: Ensure the controller is adequately ventilated, especially during prolonged use, to prevent overheating. Do not cover the controller with materials that restrict airflow.
- Storage: When not in use, store the ebike and its components in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| System does not power on | Loose battery connection, discharged battery, faulty display or controller. | Check all battery connections, ensure the battery is fully charged, inspect display and controller cables for damage. |
| Motor not responding to throttle/PAS | Loose motor phase wires, Hall sensor issue, throttle malfunction, PAS sensor issue. | Verify all motor and Hall sensor connections. Test the throttle and PAS sensor for proper function. |
| Inaccurate speed reading on display | Incorrect wheel size setting in display, loose speed sensor connection. | Check the display settings to ensure the correct wheel size is configured. Ensure the speed sensor is properly installed and connected. |
| Brakes not cutting motor power | Loose or damaged brake lever sensor wire. | Inspect the brake lever sensor wires and connections. Ensure they are securely attached and undamaged. |
9. User Tips
- Battery Recommendation: For optimal performance and compatibility, it is recommended to use a high-quality lithium battery that matches the specified voltage (48V or 72V) of your controller. Ensure the battery's discharge rate can support the 3000W power output.
- Controller Color: Please note that the controller may come in either silver or black, and the color is selected randomly during packaging. This aesthetic difference does not affect the functionality or performance of the unit.
- Square Wave vs. Sine Wave: This specific controller model operates as a square wave controller. If your ebike motor or preference requires a sine wave controller for a 3000W system, ensure you purchase the appropriate sine wave model, as this unit is not interchangeable in terms of wave type.
10. Warranty and Support
For any warranty claims, technical assistance, or support inquiries regarding your NDECYC ebike controller and display, please contact the seller or manufacturer directly. It is advisable to retain your purchase receipt or proof of purchase for warranty validation.
