6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Care

The doorbell uses two 18650 Lithium batteries. For optimal performance and longevity, ensure regular charging. The typical working time is 2-3 months with 20 wake-ups per day. Recharge when the app indicates low battery.

6.2. Cleaning

Wipe the doorbell's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the device's finish and IP65 weatherproof rating.

6.3. Unbonding Chime

To unbond the chime from the doorbell:

  1. Press and hold the reset button on the chime for 3 seconds. The indicator will flash blue twice, and the chime will restore to factory default, clearing its connection to doorbells.
  2. Alternatively, you can click "unbond" in the SmartLife app (under Bell Settings) to release the connection.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Poor Video Quality Outdoors: If video quality is worse outdoors than indoors, consider moving your Wi-Fi router closer to the installation spot or investing in a Wi-Fi extender to strengthen the 2.4 GHz signal.
  • Connection Issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz. The doorbell does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Verify your Wi-Fi password is correct and does not contain special characters.
  • Device Already Added: A doorbell can only be linked to one SmartLife app account at a time. If you encounter an 'already added' message, ensure it's not linked to another family member's account.
  • Chime Not Pairing: Make sure the chime is powered on and its LED is flashing blue before attempting to bind it in the app. Ensure the doorbell is also connected to the app.
