2. Important Safety Warnings
Read carefully before use to avoid injury, equipment damage, or non-compliance with EU regulations. Installation and maintenance must be performed by trained professionals, in line with EU LVD 2014/35/EU and EMC 2014/30/EU directives.
- WARNING: This product is for industrial and commercial use, not for household use. Keep out of reach of children and untrained personnel to prevent accidents such as electric shock or burns. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product; wash thoroughly after handling.
- WARNING: Always turn off the power supply before wiring, maintenance, disassembly or cleaning to prevent electric shock and equipment damage. Isolate the power supply and ensure safety before operation. Confirm that the power supply voltage matches the controller's rated voltage (AC 187~244V, 50/60Hz, varies by model), and the voltage deviation shall not exceed ±10% to avoid burnout of internal components.
- WARNING: Do not use the product beyond the rated parameters (voltage, load, temperature), which may cause fire, electric shock or permanent product damage. The rated output load is up to 10A/250V AC (resistive load).
- WARNING: Avoid installing the controller in flammable, explosive, humid, dusty or corrosive gas environments. Keep the sensor away from power cables to avoid electromagnetic interference. Do not install near cold and heat sources or in direct sunlight.
- WARNING: The controller must be grounded correctly in accordance with EU EMC and LVD directives. The protective grounding terminal must be marked with the IEC 60417-5019 grounding symbol, and mandatory grounding is required for safe use and EU compliance.
- WARNING: Do not modify, disassemble or repair the product without authorization; any unauthorized operation will void the warranty and may violate EU regulations.
- WARNING: In case of abnormal operation (display failure, abnormal heating/cooling, alarm failure, temperature deviation or sensor error), turn off the power immediately and stop using it, then contact professional maintenance personnel.
- WARNING: Disposal of this product must comply with EU WEEE 2012/19/EC directive; do not discard it as household waste.
- WARNING: This is a Class A product. In a domestic environment, it may cause radio interference; the user may need to take appropriate measures to reduce interference.
3. Setup and Installation
Before proceeding with installation and wiring, ensure the power supply is completely disconnected to prevent electric shock. The AISET NE series temperature controller supports fixed panel installation (most series) or DIN rail installation (NE-3000).
3.1 Wiring Instructions
Refer to the product label or the full-version manual for specific model details to ensure correct connection and EU compliance. The basic wiring points are as follows:
- Power Terminal (L/N): Connect to an AC 187~244V power supply. Ensure stable power input and that the input power and current are within the standard allowable deviation range. The power terminal must be clearly marked with voltage parameters.
- Input Terminal (IN): Connect to the temperature sensor (NTC/Pt100/RTD). Ensure a tight connection for accurate signal transmission. Keep the sensor line away from power lines to avoid electromagnetic interference.
- Output Terminal (OUT1/OUT2): Connect to the load (heater, cooler, compressor, solid-state relay, etc.). Match the load type with the controller's output mode and ensure the load power does not exceed the rated load of the controller.
- Ground Terminal (PE): Mandatory grounding is required for safe use and to prevent electrical hazards. The grounding must meet EU LVD directive requirements and be marked with the IEC 60417-5019 standard grounding symbol.
- Communication Terminal (NE-3000): For NE-3000 models, connect the RS-485 communication cable (A/B terminals) to the upper computer for remote monitoring and parameter setting.

3.2 Power On
After connecting the power supply according to the wiring diagram and ensuring correct grounding, turn on the power switch. The controller will automatically enter the working state, displaying the current measured temperature (PV) and target temperature (SV). LED indicators will show the working status (heating, cooling, defrosting, alarm, communication, etc.).
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Temperature Setting & Key Functions
- Basic Temperature Setting: Press and hold the "S" (SET) key for 2 seconds. The display will flash. Use the "△" (up) or "▽" (down) key to adjust the target temperature. Hold the key for more than 1 second for quick adjustment. Press "S" again to confirm and exit, or "M" to abandon.
- Temperature Correction: Enter advanced parameter setting mode (long press "M" key for 5 seconds, enter password if set). Find the temperature correction parameter (H1 for general models, F19 for NE-4000). Use "△" or "▽" to adjust the correction value (-9~9°C). Press "S" to confirm.
- Child Lock Setting: Long press the power key for 6 seconds to lock the keys. All short-press operations will be invalid. Unlocking is done by repeating the same action.
- Mode Switching: Enter advanced parameter setting mode to set cooling/heating mode (F29 for NE-4000: COOL for cooling, HEAT for heating). For models with defrosting, set the defrosting mode (electric/hot gas) and start mode via the parameter menu. For NE-3000, switch local/remote mode via the "REM" key.
- Time Setting (Manual Mode): Press "S" to switch to time display. Long press "S" to enter time adjustment. Adjust hour and minute with "△" or "▽". Press "S" to confirm.
- Communication Setting (NE-3000): Connect RS-485 cable. Enter parameter menu to set baud rate (9600/19200 bps) and address (1~247) to match with upper computer for remote monitoring.
4.2 Display & Alarm Introduction
- Normal Mode: PV displays current measured temperature, SV displays target temperature. LED indicators show heating (H), cooling (C), defrosting, alarm (AL), communication (COM) and standby status.
- Setting Mode: A flashing display indicates the parameter being set (target temperature, temperature correction, timing, defrosting, communication, alarm parameters).
- Alarm Mode: When temperature exceeds set range, sensor fails (open/short circuit), or load is abnormal, the alarm indicator lights up. Display shows "00", "98", "OPE" (sensor open circuit) or "SHr" (sensor short circuit) for sensor faults. Alarm code "Axx" is displayed for other faults. For NE-3000, "Err" is displayed for communication failures.
5. Maintenance
- Regularly check the wiring, sensor connection, and controller status to ensure stable operation.
- Regularly clean the display panel and wiring terminals to avoid dust affecting readings and poor contact.
- Calibrate the controller regularly through the temperature correction function to maintain measurement accuracy.
- Do not allow water, cement slurry, metal particles, or other debris to enter the controller.
- Clean the controller surface with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use corrosive cleaners.
- Ensure the product's surface marks (CE mark, RoHS mark) are kept clear and not faded.
6. Troubleshooting
If the controller exhibits abnormal behavior, refer to the following:
- Abnormal Operation: If you observe display failure, abnormal heating/cooling, alarm failure, temperature deviation, or sensor error, immediately turn off the power and stop using the device. Contact professional maintenance personnel. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.
- Sensor Faults: When the sensor line is abnormal, the display will show specific codes:
- "00" or "98"
- "OPE" (open circuit)
- "SHr" (short circuit)
- Other Faults: Alarm code "Axx" will be displayed alternately to indicate other issues.
- Communication Failure (NE-3000): For NE-3000 models, "Err" is displayed when communication fails.
Always ensure proper wiring and voltage to prevent damage. If issues persist after basic checks, consult the full manual or professional support.
