4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Keypad Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the keypad.
  2. Insert two CR2032 lithium batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

4.2. Keypad Mounting

The keypad is designed for both indoor and outdoor installation. When installing outdoors, ensure the silicone seal is properly seated around the fixing holes to maintain its IP54 waterproof rating.

  1. Choose a suitable location for the keypad, ensuring it's within the transmission range of the receiver (up to 35m indoors, 200m open space).
  2. Use the provided screws and wall anchors to securely mount the keypad.

4.3. Receiver Wiring

The receiver operates on DC 12V-24V. Connect it to your motor or controller as shown in the diagram below. Ensure power is disconnected before wiring.

The receiver board has terminals for ANT (Antenna), CH1 (Channel 1), CH2 (Channel 2), U+ (Positive Power), U- (Negative Power), and GND (Ground). Connect the motor/controller to CH1 or CH2 as required, and provide power to U+ and U-.

4.4. Pairing Keypad and Remote with Receiver

Follow these steps to pair your keypad and remote control with the universal receiver. Refer to the video demonstration for a visual guide.

  1. Ensure the receiver is powered on.
  2. Press the learning button on the receiver board (often a small button near the relays, refer to Figure 6). An indicator LED on the receiver should light up or flash.
  3. To pair the Keypad: Within a few seconds of pressing the learning button on the receiver, enter your desired password on the keypad and press the '#' or '*' button (depending on the model, usually '#'). The receiver's LED should indicate successful pairing (e.g., flash rapidly and turn off).
  4. To pair the Remote Control: Within a few seconds of pressing the learning button on the receiver, press the desired button (A, B, C, or D) on your remote control. The receiver's LED should indicate successful pairing.
  5. Repeat for additional keypads or remote buttons if desired.
  6. Test the paired devices to ensure they operate correctly.

5. Operation

5.1. Using the Wireless Password Keypad

To operate your connected device (e.g., open a garage door) using the keypad:

  1. Enter your programmed password (0-8 digits).
  2. Press the '#' or '*' button to transmit the signal.
  3. The connected device should activate.

5.2. Using the Remote Control Transmitter

To operate your connected device using the remote control:

  1. Press the corresponding button (A, B, C, or D) that you paired with the receiver.
  2. The connected device should activate.

6.1. Keypad Battery Replacement

When the keypad's indicator light dims or it becomes unresponsive, it's time to replace the batteries.

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the keypad.
  2. Remove the old CR2032 batteries.
  3. Insert two new CR2032 lithium batteries, observing correct polarity.
  4. Close the battery compartment.

6.2. Cleaning

Wipe the keypad and remote control with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no moisture enters the electronic components.
