2. Setup Instructions
- Prepare Your Console: Ensure your NES 8-bit video game console is clean and in good working condition. It is highly recommended to use an original NES console for optimal compatibility and performance. Some clone consoles may not be fully compatible.
- Clean Console Slot: Before inserting the game card, ensure the console's cartridge slot is free from dust and debris. A dirty slot can lead to a black screen or improper game loading.
- Insert SD Card: The N8 Plus game card comes with an 8GB SD card pre-loaded with games. Ensure this SD card is properly inserted into the dedicated slot on the game card's circuit board.
- Insert Game Card: Carefully insert the N8 Plus game card into your NES console's cartridge slot. Apply gentle, even pressure until it is fully seated.
- Power On: Turn on your NES console. The game menu should appear on your screen.

3. Operating Instructions
- Game Selection: Once the console is powered on and the N8 Plus card is inserted, a game selection menu will appear. Use your console's controller to navigate through the list of available games.
- Launch Game: Select your desired game from the menu and press the appropriate button (usually 'A' or 'Start') to launch it.
- Saving Game Progress: The N8 Plus game card supports game saving functionality. Game progress is saved to the 128Kbyte battery-backed memory, which then writes the save data to the inserted SD card. This ensures your progress is not lost. Follow in-game instructions for saving, if applicable.
4. Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your N8 Plus game card.
- Storage: Store the game card in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cleaning: To clean the cartridge contacts, use a soft, dry cloth. Do NOT use benzene, thinner, alcohol, or other harsh solvents, as these can damage the card.
- Moisture: Do NOT immerse the game card in water or expose it to excessive moisture.
- Handling: Handle the game card by its edges to avoid touching the gold-plated contacts or the circuit board.

5. Troubleshooting
- Black Screen on Startup:
- Ensure the game card is fully and correctly inserted into the console slot.
- Clean the console's cartridge slot and the game card's contacts. Dust or debris can prevent proper connection.
- Verify that your console is an original NES or a high-quality compatible clone. Some lower-quality clone consoles may not support the N8 Plus.
- Game Not Saving Progress:
- Ensure the 8GB SD card is properly inserted into the N8 Plus game card.
- Check if the game itself supports saving. Not all NES games originally had save features. The N8 Plus supports saving for compatible games.
- Regional Compatibility: The N8 Plus is designed for NES 8-bit consoles, which typically refers to NTSC regions. If you are using a PAL console, you may experience compatibility issues or incorrect display.
- OS Updates: Please note that the N8 Plus game card does NOT support OS updates. Attempting to update the OS may damage the device.
