3. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your ANNKE CCTV Security System.

3.1 DVR Connection Diagram

Refer to the diagram below for connecting your DVR to cameras, monitor, power, and network.

  1. Connect Cameras: Connect each camera to the 'VIDEO IN' ports on the DVR using the provided BNC cables.
  2. Connect Monitor: Use the HDMI or VGA port to connect your DVR to a monitor (VGA or HDMI).
  3. Connect Audio (Optional): If using an external microphone, connect it to the 'Audio Input' port. The cameras may have built-in microphones for audio over coaxial cable.
  4. Connect Network: Connect the DVR to your router using the Ethernet cable for remote access features.
  5. Connect USB Mouse: Plug the USB mouse into one of the 'Mouse USB Interface' ports for system navigation.
  6. Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the DVR and plug it into a power outlet. Connect camera power supplies to the cameras and power outlets.
  7. Power On: The system should power on automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions for initial setup.

3.2 Camera Installation

The cameras are designed for both indoor and outdoor use and can be mounted on ceilings or walls. Use the provided screw kit for secure installation.

5. Maintenance

  • Power Supply: Verify that cameras and DVR are receiving adequate power.
  • Resolution Settings: Confirm that the display resolution on your monitor is compatible with the DVR output.
  • Night Vision: If issues occur at night, ensure IR LEDs are functioning.

6.2 Remote Access Issues

  • Network Connection: Ensure the DVR is properly connected to the internet via an Ethernet cable and your router is functioning.
  • App Configuration: Double-check your ANNKE Vision App settings, including device ID and network configuration.
  • Firewall/Router Settings: Your router's firewall or network settings might be blocking the connection. Consult your router's manual or ISP for assistance.

  • Internet Connectivity: While internet is necessary for remote viewing and push notifications via the ANNKE Vision App, the CCTV system can function as a local surveillance system (recording to HDD and local monitor viewing) without an internet connection.
  • Camera Power: Cameras receive power via dedicated power adapters. For kits with multiple cameras, splitter cables are provided to power several cameras from fewer adapters.
  • Audio Recording: The cameras feature built-in microphones for audio recording over coaxial cables. The DVR also has a dedicated audio input (1-ch RCA) if you wish to connect an external microphone.
