5.2. Working Mode Switch

From the measurement interface, with no torque value displayed, press the M button to switch between the following modes:

  • Real-time Mode (Track): The displayed torque value changes continuously as force is applied and released. When force is removed, the display returns to 0.
  • Peak Mode (Peak): After applying force, the display will show and lock the maximum torque value achieved during the application. This value will flash. Press the P/C button to clear the peak torque. You can re-apply force to update the locked peak torque without clearing.
  • Preset Mode (Pre): In this mode, you can set a target torque value. The display will show the current torque as force is applied. Alarms will activate as you approach the preset value.

5.3. Sound and Light Alarm Function

Ensure the buzzer function is turned on in the settings (see section 5.9). In Preset Mode, as the applied torque approaches 80% of the preset value, the red LED light will flash, and the buzzer will sound. As the torque gets closer to the preset value, the light will flash faster, and the buzzer will sound more rapidly. When 100% of the preset value is reached, the red LED light will remain on, and the buzzer will sound continuously. The alarms will cease as the torque reduces.

5.4. Clear Function

If a torque value is displayed on the screen, a short press of the P/C button will clear the display and reset the measurement.

5.5. Data Storage

During measurement, press the M button lightly to save the current torque value. The display will show "Succ" to confirm successful saving. The upper left corner of the screen will indicate the number of saved data entries.

5.6. Data View

From the non-operation measurement interface, long press the M button to view all saved data. Use the + or - buttons to navigate through individual data entries. To exit, tap the M button again.

5.7. Data Deletion

In the data viewing interface, tap the U/S button to select the deletion mode: "ALL" (delete all data) or "ONE" (delete data one by one, starting from the last entry). After selecting, tap the P/C button to execute the deletion. Note: Deleting "ONE" by selection is not feasible; it deletes the last entry. An error code "JEL" may appear if an invalid operation is attempted.

5.8. Restore Factory Settings

  • Handle with Care: Avoid violently shaking or dropping the torque meter.
  • Environmental Conditions: Do not store or operate the device in high temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Moisture: If the torque meter gets wet, wipe it immediately with a dry towel.
  • LCD Screen: Do not apply excessive pressure to the LCD screen.

8. Troubleshooting

  • "OLOAD" Display: If the screen displays "OLOAD", it indicates that the torque has exceeded 120% of the full scale. Remove the applied torque immediately, then press the P/C button to recover. If the issue persists, contact the manufacturer.
  • Device Shuts Down on Startup: This usually indicates low battery. Replace the two 1.5V AAA batteries.
  • Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the device is recalibrated annually. Avoid using it beyond its specified maximum operating range.

9. User Tips

  • Alarm Activation: Remember that the backlight and buzzer functions for alarms activate only when the target or rated torque value is reached.
  • Torque Units: The device measures torque in standard units (N.m, lbf.ft, lbf.in, kgf.cm), not in degrees.
  • Model Updates: Be aware that product parts and designs may be updated. For example, newer models may not include a screwdriver as part of the standard package. Always refer to the latest product information.
