  3. Activate Thinkdiag: Once logged in, activate your Thinkdiag device through the app.

5.1. Full System Diagnosis

The Thinkdiag performs comprehensive diagnostics on the electronic control systems of various vehicle models (Asian, European, American, and Chinese). This includes reading and clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), reading live data streams, and performing special functions for various systems such as:

  • Brake System: Diagnose issues if the brake pedal feels mushy or if there are unusual odors/noises.
  • Emission System: Check for proper operation to reduce harmful gases and avoid fines.
  • Fuel System: Diagnose starting issues or illuminated "Check Engine" lights to ensure optimal performance and emissions.
  • Transmission: Address slipping or difficult shifting to maintain overall car performance.
  • Wiper System: Diagnose chattering or streaking wipers for clear visibility and safety.
  • Light System: Diagnose rapid signal blinking or dimming lights.

5.2. Full OBD2 Diagnostic Functions

The Thinkdiag supports all 10 modes of OBD2 diagnostics:

The ECU Coding function allows you to re-flash vehicle control modules, update computer software to the latest version, and reprogram adaptive data for components after repairs or replacements. This can resolve issues related to drivability, fuel efficiency, power loss, and fault codes. 6. 16 Maintenance Reset Functions

The Thinkdiag offers 16 commonly used maintenance reset functions:

  • 9. Gear Learning: Learns crankshaft gear machining tolerance to accurately diagnose engine misfires.
