5. Setup
5.1. Transmitter Battery Installation
- Slide the battery lid on the back of the transmitter to open it.
- Insert 6 AA-sized batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery lid.
Note:
- Do not mix batteries of different chemistry or specifications.

5.2. First Flight Preparation Caution
- Ensure sufficient power supply for both the transmitter and the helicopter.
- Choose a suitable flight space away from traffic, people, electricity pylons, and pools.
- Do not overtighten the main rotor screws to allow smooth folding. Overtightening can cause the helicopter to shake during flight.
- In an emergency, you can press the 'emergency stop' button for 3 seconds to land the helicopter without rotating. Be aware that this action may cause a helicopter crash.
6. Operation
6.1. Introduction of Transmitter Functions

The transmitter features:
- Power Indicator: Shows the transmitter's power status.
- Mode Switch: Press this button while turning on the TX power to change between Mode 1 (Right Hand Throttle) and Mode 2 (Left Hand Throttle).
- Power Switch: Turns the transmitter on/off.
- Emergency Stop / One Key Take Off / One Key Landing: Long press for 3 seconds for emergency stop. Short press for one-key take-off or landing.
- Up, Down, Left, Right Rotation Stick: Controls vertical movement and yaw.
- Forward, Backward, Left, Right Side Fly Stick: Controls horizontal movement.
- First Gear, Second Gear Switch: Adjusts flight sensitivity.
- Fine-tuning Buttons: For adjusting trim in various directions (forward/backward, left/right yaw, side fly).
6.2. Flight Operation Steps
- Turn on the transmitter and place the helicopter near it.
- Connect the battery to the helicopter.
- The helicopter and remote control lights will flash. Quickly push the throttle stick from top to bottom and then back up. The remote control will make a 'DI' sound, and both indicator lights will become solid, indicating successful binding.
- Pull both joysticks to the outer eight-angle positions to start the helicopter. Alternatively, press the one-key take-off button.
- Maintain the helicopter's head forward and keep a safe distance.
- To land manually, keep the throttle stick at the bottom for 2-3 seconds until the propeller stops rotating. (This step is not required when using the one-key landing function).
Note:
- To avoid hitting, do not look at the helicopter at hip level during flight.
- To avoid distractions, ensure no other transmitters are operating nearby.

6.3. Flight Yaw Correction Method
If the helicopter experiences yaw problems during flight, use the fine-tuning buttons to correct it. The helicopter has a hovering function, but if you are dissatisfied with the hover or if it yaws, follow these steps:
- Take off the helicopter.
- Observe the direction of yaw.
- Press the fine-tuning button in the opposite direction of the yaw until the helicopter hovers stably.

6.4. Trimming Notes
When trimming, maintain a flying altitude above one meter for best results.

6.5. Gyro Calibration Method
- If the helicopter yaws during flight, land it and calibrate the gyroscope.
- When calibrating the gyroscope, the aircraft must be placed on a level ground.
- The indicator light will flash quickly during calibration. Once it stops flashing, the helicopter is ready for take-off.
7. Maintenance and Parts Replacement
7.1. Parts Replacement Instructions
- Propeller Replacement: Remove the propeller with a hex wrench. Be careful not to overtighten when installing the new propeller.
- Tail Rod Replacement: Pull the plug backward forcefully. Pay attention to the direction when installing and align the power cord with the hole.
- Motor Replacement: Unplug the motor, then twist it left and right to pull it out.
- Servo Replacement: Pay attention to the connecting rod direction when disassembling and replacing the servo.
- Receiver Replacement: Remove the double-sided tape. Align the new receiver with the edge of the rack and stick it tightly without skewing. Connect the servo and motor in the correct order of the plugs.
- Big Gear Replacement: Pull the big gear straight down. Pay attention to the direction when installing the new gear, ensuring the axis plane aligns with the inner hole of the gear.
- Tail Rotor Replacement: Pay attention to the direction. Align the motor shaft and press it slowly to ensure smooth rotation.

7.2. Component Details
- Propellers: Made of PC engineering (alloy) materials for good strength, toughness, and impact resistance.
- Landing Gear: Reinforced and toughened by nylon material for high strength and excellent toughness, protecting the airframe from impact during landing.
- Tail Rod: Made of high-strength carbon fiber composite materials with a 2.5mm diameter, making it resistant to breakage.
- Gears: Made of POM (Polyformaldehyde) material for good strength, less noise, and wear resistance.
- Aircraft Shell: Conforms to aerodynamic streamline design for a good-looking shape, lower wind coefficient, less wind resistance, and more energy saving.
- Digital Servo: New generation high-precision 2g digital servo offers more precise control and large torque, extending service life and preventing damage.
- Coreless Motor (8520): Made of high-temperature-resistant materials (up to 150℃), preventing demagnetization, power loss, or damage due to high temperatures.
8. Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions to common issues you might encounter with your Eachine E129 RC Helicopter.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Helicopter does not respond to transmitter | Low battery in helicopter or transmitter; Not bound correctly. | Charge helicopter battery; Replace transmitter batteries; Re-bind helicopter and transmitter (refer to Flight Operation Steps). |
| Helicopter yaws or drifts during flight | Gyroscope needs calibration; Trim settings are incorrect; Damaged propeller/rotor. | Perform Gyro Calibration (refer to Section 6.5); Adjust fine-tuning buttons (refer to Section 6.3); Inspect and replace damaged parts. |
| Short flight time | Battery not fully charged; Old or damaged battery. | Ensure battery is fully charged; Consider replacing the battery if it's old or shows signs of damage. |
| Helicopter shakes during flight | Main rotor screws too tight; Damaged main blades. | Loosen main rotor screws slightly; Inspect and replace main blades if damaged. |
| Motor or electronic parts get hot | Normal operation heat; Overuse. | Allow the helicopter to cool down between flights. Avoid prolonged continuous use. |
9. User Tips
- Controller Mode Selection: The Eachine E129 offers two controller modes: Mode 1 (Right Hand Throttle) and Mode 2 (Left Hand Throttle). Make sure to select the mode that you are most comfortable with before your first flight. This can be changed by pressing the mode switch button while turning on the transmitter.
- Beginner-Friendly Flight: The 6-axis gyroscope and altitude hold features make this helicopter very stable. Take advantage of these features to learn basic controls before attempting more advanced maneuvers.
- Battery Management: Always ensure your helicopter and transmitter batteries are fully charged before flying to avoid unexpected power loss during operation. For long-term storage, charge the helicopter battery to 3.7V.
- Spare Parts: It's a good idea to have spare main blades and tail blades on hand, as these are common wear-and-tear items, especially for beginners.
