Figure 3: Wiring Diagram. Connect the main power supply to the top terminals (L1, L2, L3, N) and the load to the bottom terminals (L1', L2', L3', N'). Ensure proper grounding.
  1. Turn off the main power supply to prevent electric shock.
  2. Mount the circuit breaker onto a standard DIN rail in your electrical distribution box.
  3. Connect the incoming live (L) and neutral (N) wires from your main power supply to the corresponding terminals at the top of the circuit breaker. For 4P models, connect all live phases (L1, L2, L3) and neutral (N).
  4. Connect the outgoing live (L') and neutral (N') wires to your load circuit from the corresponding terminals at the bottom of the circuit breaker. For 4P models, connect all outgoing live phases (L1', L2', L3') and neutral (N').
  5. Ensure all connections are secure and tight.
  6. Restore power to the main circuit.

6.2. App Download and Device Pairing

  1. Download the App: Search for "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" in your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android) and install it.
  2. Register/Log In: Open the app and register for a new account or log in with an existing one.
  3. Prepare for Pairing: Ensure your WiFi router is operating on a 2.4 GHz frequency. If you have a dual-band router, temporarily disable the 5 GHz band or ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4 GHz network.
  4. Enter Pairing Mode: Power on the circuit breaker. The WiFi indicator light on the device should start blinking rapidly. If it's not blinking, press and hold the pairing button (usually marked with a WiFi symbol) for 5-10 seconds until it blinks rapidly.
  5. Add Device in App: In the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app, tap the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a device. Select "Electrical Engineering" > "Circuit Breaker (Wi-Fi)" or similar.
  6. Connect to WiFi: Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the device to your 2.4 GHz WiFi network. Enter your WiFi password when prompted.
  7. Completion: Once successfully paired, the WiFi indicator light on the circuit breaker will become solid, and the device will appear in your app. You can then rename the device for easier identification.

9. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Device won't connect to WiFi. Incorrect WiFi frequency (5GHz instead of 2.4GHz), wrong password, weak signal, device not in pairing mode. Ensure your router is 2.4 GHz. Re-enter WiFi password carefully. Move the device closer to the router. Put the device into rapid blinking pairing mode.
Circuit breaker trips frequently. Overload, short circuit, earth leakage, faulty appliance. Check connected appliances for faults. Reduce load on the circuit. Consult a qualified electrician to diagnose the issue.
Remote control via app is unresponsive. No internet connection on phone or device, device offline, app glitch. Check your phone's internet connection. Verify the circuit breaker's WiFi indicator is solid. Restart the app. Power cycle the circuit breaker.
Voice control not working. Incorrect device name, skill/service not linked, internet issue. Ensure the device name is simple and recognized by Alexa/Google. Re-link the Smart Life/Tuya Smart skill/service in your voice assistant app. Check internet connectivity.
