6.1 Pre-Installation Checks

  • Verify that the power supply matches the fan's specifications (220-240V, 50Hz).
  • Ensure the mounting surface is flat, stable, and capable of supporting the fan's weight.
  • Confirm that the ventilation duct or shaft has a diameter of 100 mm.
  • Disconnect power at the main circuit breaker before starting any electrical work.

6.2 Mounting the Fan

  1. Carefully remove the front panel of the fan to access the mounting holes and terminal block.
  2. Position the fan unit against the wall or ceiling at the desired location, ensuring the spigot aligns with the duct opening.
  3. Mark the positions for the mounting screws.
  4. Drill holes at the marked positions and insert the wall plugs.
  5. Secure the fan casing to the wall/ceiling using the provided screws.

  7. Reconnect the power supply.

The ball bearings are maintenance-free and do not require lubrication.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your fan, refer to the following table:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Fan does not startNo power supply; Loose wiring; Faulty switchCheck circuit breaker; Verify electrical connections; Test or replace switch.
Reduced airflowDirty impeller/grille; Obstructed ductingClean fan components; Check ducting for blockages.
Excessive noise/vibrationLoose mounting; Impeller imbalance (due to dirt); Foreign object in fanTighten mounting screws; Clean impeller thoroughly; Inspect for and remove foreign objects.
Fan stops unexpectedlyOverheat protection activated; Intermittent power supplyAllow fan to cool; Check power supply stability. If problem persists, contact service.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.

10. User Tips

  • Regular Cleaning: To maintain optimal performance and prevent dust buildup, clean the fan unit every 3-6 months, especially in high-humidity or dusty environments.
  • Proper Sealing: Ensure the fan is properly sealed to the wall/ceiling and ducting during installation to prevent air leakage and maximize efficiency.
  • Consider a Timer Switch: While the Base model is controlled by a standard switch, consider upgrading to a timer switch (e.g., Blauberg Cabrio 100 T variant) for automatic operation after the light is turned off, which can be beneficial for bathroom ventilation.
