6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Recording Audio

The V11 features a simple one-key recording mechanism:

  • To Start Recording: Slide the recording switch (refer to Figure 3) upwards. The device will begin recording immediately.
  • To Save Recording: Slide the recording switch downwards. The current recording will be saved automatically, and the device will stop recording.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Avoid using liquids or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the recorder in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. Recharge it regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
  • Physical Protection: The shell is made from metal and zinc alloy for durability and anti-fall protection. However, avoid dropping the device from significant heights or subjecting it to strong impacts.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Recording/Poor Quality: Ensure the device is fully charged. Check that the recording switch is in the 'record' position. The device features an AGC function to automatically adjust noise sources, and noise reduction technology to restore sound quality.

  • Voice Activated Recording Not Working: If the VOR feature is not functioning as expected, ensure it is enabled (if there are settings accessible via PC connection). Some users report needing to connect to a PC to configure such settings.
  • Cannot Transfer Files to PC: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the recorder and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable. Verify that your computer's operating system (Windows 2000 or above) recognizes the device as a removable disk.
  • Device Not Turning On: Charge the device for at least 30 minutes. If it still doesn't turn on, the battery might be completely drained or faulty.

9. User Tips

  • Maximize Voice Activation: For optimal use of voice-activated recording, ensure the device is placed in an area where ambient noise is minimal, allowing it to accurately detect speech.
  • Organize Recordings: Utilize the automatic timestamp feature to keep track of your recording files. When transferring to a computer, create folders to further organize your audio.
  • Playback Convenience: Always have a pair of Type C headphones handy for quick playback of your recordings directly from the device.
  • Regular Data Backup: Periodically connect your recorder to a computer to back up important audio files, especially before the memory is full.
