1. Introduction
The SINOTIMER SVP-977 is a three-in-one multi-function device designed for home usage, providing comprehensive protection against over-voltage, under-voltage, and over-current conditions in single-phase AC 230V, 50/60Hz electrical systems. It also features power monitoring capabilities, displaying voltage, current, and energy consumption (kWh) on an LCD screen. This device is primarily used for residential household box entry or for protecting distribution lines of single-phase electrical equipment. Its key function is to instantly cut off the power supply when abnormal voltage or current conditions occur, safeguarding connected electrical equipment from damage. Once the circuit voltage returns to normal, the protector automatically restores power.

4.2. Connection Points
- IN (L, N): Input terminals for Line and Neutral from the power source.
- OUT (L, N): Output terminals for Line and Neutral to the load (e.g., household appliances).
WARNING: All electrical work should be performed by a qualified electrician to prevent electric shock or damage to the device.
5. Operation and Parameter Settings
The SVP-977 features an LCD display for real-time monitoring of voltage, current, and kWh. Parameters for protection and recovery can be adjusted using the device's buttons.
5.1. Setting Method
- Press and hold the SET button for 3 seconds to enter the parameter setting mode.
- Continuously press the SET button to cycle through the adjustable parameters (P01, P02, P03, etc.).
- Use the UP (▲) or DOWN (▼) buttons to adjust the value of the currently displayed parameter.
- Once you have set all desired parameters, continue pressing SET until "END" appears on the display.
- Press SET one more time to save the settings and exit the configuration mode. The new settings will be active.
5.2. Adjustable Parameters

6. Maintenance
The SINOTIMER SVP-977 is designed for long-term, reliable operation with minimal maintenance. To ensure optimal performance and longevity:
- Keep Clean: Periodically wipe the device with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust and debris. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Check Connections: Ensure all wiring connections remain tight and secure. Loose connections can lead to overheating or intermittent operation.
- Avoid Exposure: Do not expose the device to direct sunlight, excessive moisture, or extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your SVP-977, consider the following:
- Device Not Powering On: Check the main power supply and ensure all wiring connections are correct and secure. Verify the input voltage is within the operational range.
- Frequent Tripping: Review your set protection values (over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current). They might be set too sensitively for your electrical environment. Adjust the delay times (action time, recovery delay) to prevent nuisance tripping.
- Incorrect Readings: While the device is calibrated, significant discrepancies might indicate a wiring issue or a faulty unit. Ensure proper connections.
- Settings Not Saving: Ensure you press the SET button until "END" appears and then press it one more time to confirm and save the settings.
- No Automatic Recovery: Check the recovery delay time setting. If set to a long duration, the device will wait before restoring power.
If problems persist after checking these points, please consult a qualified electrician or contact customer support.
8. User Tips
- Placement in Circuit: The SVP-977 can be installed after a Residual Current Device (RCD) or Residual Current Breaker with Overcurrent protection (RCBO) for comprehensive circuit protection.
- Voltage Stabilization: This device is a protector, not a voltage stabilizer. It will cut off power if voltage goes outside the set limits, but it does not actively regulate or stabilize the voltage.
- Settings Retention: All configured settings are retained even after a power outage, so you do not need to reconfigure them every time power is lost.
- KWH Reset: The temporary kWh reading can be reset. Refer to the operation section for detailed instructions on navigating the settings menu.
- Recovery Delay: The device includes an adjustable recovery delay time (from 2 to 600 seconds) which is useful to prevent rapid cycling of power to appliances after a fault, allowing them to stabilize.
