1. Product Overview

The UNIWA F41 is a robust 4G smartphone and walkie-talkie hybrid device designed for reliable communication and smart functionalities. It features a 2.4-inch IPS capacitive touch screen, runs on Android 8.1, and supports global 2G/3G/4G network bands. With an ergonomic PTT button and pre-adapted walkie-talkie applications like Zello, Pocstar, Real PTT, and SmartPTT, it's ideal for professional use. The device also includes NFC for patrolling clock-in, dual cameras, and a removable 4600mAh high-capacity battery.

2. Setup Guide

2.1 Package Contents

Before you begin, please check the contents of your package:

  • UNIWA F41 Device
  • Power Adaptor (x1)
  • USB Cable (x1)
  • Belt Clip (x1)
  • Antenna (x1)
  • User Manual (x1)

Optional accessories may include a Handheld Microphone, PTT Earphone, or Charging Dock.

2.2 Battery, SIM Card, and TF Card Installation

  1. Remove the Back Cover: Carefully remove the back cover of the device.
  2. Install Battery: Insert the 4600mAh Li-polymer battery into its compartment, ensuring the contacts align.
  3. Install SIM/TF Cards: Locate the Micro SIM slots (x2) and TF Card slot (x1). Insert your SIM cards and/or TF card (up to 64GB) as shown in the diagram.
  4. Replace Back Cover: Securely reattach the back cover.
  5. Attach Belt Clip and Antenna: If desired, attach the belt clip to the back of the device and screw the antenna onto the top port.

2.3 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided USB Type-C cable and power adaptor. The device supports 10W quick charge. If you have an optional charging dock, place the device in the dock to charge.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the screen lights up.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power button, then select 'Power Off' from the options.

3.2 Basic Navigation

The UNIWA F41 features a 2.4-inch IPS capacitive touch screen and a T9 keypad for navigation. Use the touch screen for app interaction and the physical keypad for dialing and text input.

3.3 Walkie-Talkie (PoC) Function

The device supports Push-to-Talk (PTT) over cellular networks using pre-adapted applications such as Zello, Pocstar, Real PTT, and SmartPTT. These apps allow for instant group communication.

  • PTT Button: Use the ergonomic PTT button on the side of the device to transmit your voice.
  • Group Switching Knob: The knob on top allows for quick switching between communication groups within the PTT application.

The built-in NFC (13.56MHz) feature is ideal for applications like patrolling clock-in, improving management efficiency in security, property management, and urban administration.

3.5 Camera Usage

The device is equipped with a 5.0MP front camera and an 8.0MP AF rear camera with flashlight for capturing photos and videos.

3.7 SOS Function and Smart Key

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Care

  • Use only the original or certified compatible charger and cable.

The device is designed to operate within a temperature range of -20℃ to +60℃. Operating outside this range may affect performance and battery life.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Device won't power on: Ensure the battery is correctly installed and sufficiently charged. Connect to the charger and try again.
  • No network signal: Check if SIM cards are properly inserted. Verify network settings and ensure you are within network coverage. The device supports global network bands.
  • Audio issues (low volume, no sound): Check the volume settings. Ensure the speaker is not obstructed. If using a PTT earphone or external microphone, ensure it is properly connected to the M6 port.
  • Applications crashing or freezing: Try clearing the app's cache and data in the device settings. If the issue persists, reinstall the application.
  • NFC not working: Ensure NFC is enabled in settings and that you are tapping the device correctly against the NFC reader.
