7. Maintenance
7.1 Charging
The M1 features a built-in 1100mAh rechargeable battery, providing up to 60 hours of continuous battery life. It charges via a Type-C port.
- Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the M1's charging port and a standard USB power adapter (e.g., 5V phone charger) or a computer's USB port.
- A full charge typically takes approximately 3 hours.

7.2 Cleaning
The M1 has an IPX6 waterproof rating, meaning it is splash-proof and can withstand rain. To clean the device:
- Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the screen or casing.
- Ensure the Type-C charging port cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.

8. Troubleshooting
8.1 GPS Not Connecting
- Ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky.
- Wait for at least 30 seconds for the device to acquire a GPS signal.
- Movement can sometimes hinder initial GPS lock; try to remain stationary during the initial acquisition.
8.2 External Sensors Not Pairing/Connecting
- Verify that your sensors are active and have fresh batteries.
- Ensure the sensors are ANT+ compatible.
- Bring the sensors close to the M1 during the pairing process.
- Try restarting both the M1 and the sensors.
8.3 Data Synchronization Issues
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the M1 is connected to the CYCPLUS Fit app.
- Check your internet connection for uploading data to Strava.
- Make sure the CYCPLUS Fit app has the necessary permissions on your phone.
- If issues persist, try disconnecting and re-pairing the M1 with the app.
8.4 Display/Backlight Problems
- If the backlight is not working, check the time settings as it operates automatically between 18:00 and 9:00.
- Ensure the device battery is sufficiently charged.
9. User Tips
- Speed Accuracy: While GPS provides speed data, using a dedicated speed sensor can offer more precise real-time speed readings, especially useful for indoor trainers or areas with poor GPS signal.
- Cadence Monitoring: A cadence sensor is highly recommended for cyclists looking to optimize their pedaling efficiency and maintain consistent effort.
- Charging: The M1 can be charged using any standard 5V USB charger with a Type-C port.
- Mount Compatibility: The M1 is compatible with Garmin mounts, offering flexibility if you already own one.
- Strava Sync: To upload your ride data to Strava, you must first sync the M1 with the CYCPLUS Fit (or XOSS) app, and then use the app's functionality to push the data to Strava.
- Multiple Bikes: The device can be configured for multiple bikes. You will need separate power and speed/cadence sensors for each bicycle if you wish to track specific data for each.
