The dimensions shown throughout the guides are reference dimensions. They are subject to be revised without notice and can be altered for preferred position of your peripherals.
If you consider doing a step differently, feel free to try a different method that works for you! On the other hand, any damage caused during assembly is solely your responsibility.
Take your time, loosen some screws if it doesn’t fit, or ask our support team for help before throwing an allen key to the other side of the room. You got this!

Assembly guide
Main Chassis
- Arrange on the floor the 2 3”x50” extrusions and the 2 3” x 19” extrusions in the following pattern and assemble using 8X M8x35 socket screws. Tighten fully.
- Preinstall the M8 x 35 screws with the t-nuts through the base as shown. Don’t tighten more than a turn!
- Slide the 3”x26” extrusion through the loose t-nuts. Make sure the extrusion is resting square to the chassis and tighten fully. Repeat on both sides.
- Loosely assemble the rubber feet with the M6 X 20 screw and M6 T-Nut.
- Slide the rubber feet through the same side as the previously placed lower brackets on the 3” X 50” Extrusions. Tighten fully.
- Place 4x M8 t-nuts following the pattern shown below. Use the trick at the page “T-nut install tip” to facilitate the step!
- Install the pre-drilled 1.5” X 22” extrusion with the faces towards the outside and the larger hole towards the top. Use 4X M8 x 35 socket screws through the previously placed t-nuts. Don’t fully tighten yet.
- Assemble the heel rest using 4x M8x12 button head screws and 4x M8 locknuts. Be mindful of the width of the assembly. Tighten snug, but not completely.
(PS: skip the heel rest with G29, thrustmaster and fanatec pedals, they’ve got one integrated to their design)
- Assemble the pedal tray with the 2 pedal tray side brackets, 2x 3×18.5” extrusions and 8x M8x16 flat head screws.
- Place 4X M8x16 socket screws and 4X M8 t-nuts to the vertical slots on the heel rest. Tighten no more than a turn. Do the same for the pedal tray.
- Slide the t-nuts of the heel rest through the inside slot of the 50” extrusion, followed by the pedal tray. Tighten it snug for the moment, but only fully tighten after positioning your pedals. (See User guide section for details)
Note:
The screws holding the up-posts are in interference with the heel rest. To move it further back, unscrew the rearmost m8x12 button head and remove the M8 t-nut from the extrusion. Using the trick at the page “t-nut install tip” place the t- nut on the other side of the interfering screws and re-fasten the heel rest. - Follow the Wheel Deck Assembly Section. Installation is the same wether you have the standard or Direct Drive Wheel Deck.
- Prepare the Wheel Deck with 4X T-Nuts and 4X M8 X 16 socket screws. Screw in the T-Nuts no more than a turn.
- Slide the Wheel Deck through the top of the Up Post Channels. Fully tighten. (For the Fanatec side mount option, simply install one side at a time, install your wheel, and then adjust height with the wheelbase in place)
If the Wheel Deck seems too large for the gap, loosen further the M8x35 screws holding the Up Posts. It is made to fit.
- Assemble 3 X corner gussets with 2 M8 screws and 2 M8 T-Nuts. Screw in the T-Nuts no more than a turn. Make sure to respect the shown orientation of the T-Nuts for trouble-free assembly.
- Slide two corner gussets on either side of the 3” x 18” extrusion. Place flush to the end and tighten fully.
- Slide down the arm on the desired side of your peripherals (for either left or right hand drive config, shown here is for a LHD setup). Don’t tighten yet.
To enable outside mounting possibilities, please check the “ Shifter arm possibilities ” page at the bottom!
- repare a corner gusset per the instruction at the page “Corner Gusset Tip”. Snap off the tabs on one side. Install the clean gusset up top and the broken one at the bottom of the 1.5” x 13” extrusion, broken tabs facing down. Follow the pattern shown here. Make sure to have both gussets preppedwith loose t-nuts and screws.
- Place the arm under the 3”x18” extrusion. Broken gusset is tightened to the 50” base, normal gusset is fastened to the bottom of the 18” extrusion. Tighten fully all 4 gussets holding the shifter arm when it’s straight to your liking and place the gusset caps.
- For the finishing touches, cap all the visible open extrusion ends using the corresponding endcap and pushpins. It’s also time to cap the holes on the flat face with the round caps.

Wheel Deck Assembly
Standard Wheel Deck
- Assemble the side plate to the 3” X 6 7/8” extrusion using 2X M8 X 16 flat head screws. Repeat for both sides, tighten fully. Make sure the flat face is facing downwards.
- Install the end caps in the middle using 2 pushpins each. Press hard to ensure no vibration from the caps.
- Using 4X M8 X 16 flat head screws and 4X M8 T-Nuts, install the wheel plate as shown below. Tighten fully only after installing the wheel deck on the chassis.
Alternate assembly method:
You can assemble each side of the wheel deck separately and bolt them to the chassis, installing the wheel deck plate only at the end. It may be easier to do this way for some.
Fanatec side mount Wheel Deck
- Assemble the side plate to the 3” X 6 7/8” extrusion using 2X M8 X 16 flat head screws. Repeat for both sides, tighten fully.
- Assemble the center plate to the 3” X 6 7/8” extrusion using 2X M8 X 16 socket screws and the Fanatec specific spacer. Repeat for both sides, tighten fully.
Front mount Wheel Deck & Asetek add-on
- Assemble the side plate to the 3” X 6 7/8” extrusion using 2X M8 X 16 flat head screws. Repeat for both sides, tighten fully.
- Assemble the middle DD plate to the 3” X 6 7/8” extrusion using 2X M8 X 16 socket screws.
Repeat for both sides, tighten fully.
- Assemble the front plate to both sides using 4x M8 x 20 socket screws. Tighten fully.
PS: For the Asetek front mount, make sure the mount is upright. The spacing is slightly different between the top and bottom, and the asetek wheelbase fits litterally only one way in the mount. Follow the same steps used for the universal front mount for installation.
T-Nut install tip
Insert an M8 T-Nut in the desired slot of the extrusion. Insert the T nut perpendicular, and with the help of a small allen key in your attire such as a 3mm, pry the T nut straight with the allen key through the hole. The t-nut will snap into place when in position. This technique is used throughout our assembly methods and may be used for supplementary accessory installation.
Corner gusset tip
Installing a corner gusset to a flat surface or perpendicular to the extrusion is not possible with the locating tabs in place. Fear not, they are made to be broken off with the following method.
Using a flathead screwdriver, slide the flathead under the small tab on the bottom, and pry out the tab. It will snap at the base. Snap off both tabs on the side that needs to rest flat on a surface.
User Guide
Pedal tray adjustment
You can position the T-nut/screw assembly however high or low. Make sure to have your pedals already properly setup before placing the pedal tray! Tighten fully the 4 screws holding the pedal tray before use, you may want to verify a second time just to be sure. For the heel rest, have it as close as you can to the base of you pedals.
Entry level pedal installation
Pedals such as the T3PA from Thrustmaster or the G29 pedals from Logitech cannot be installed from the top, fastened with t-nuts. You will need to use the included corner gussets and position the gussets and 3” extrusions of the pedal plate to line up with the bolt pattern. Here’s an example using a G29 pedal mockup (yes, a very simple mockup). The gussets will need to have their locating pins snapped off (see the Corner Gusset Tip page for details). M8 x 16 socket screws and M8 t-nuts will secure the gusset to the extrusions and M6 screws are the norm to fasten to those pedal sets. Also, the heel rest will need to be removed (or you can place it further back, use it as a floor plate!).
Wheel deck adjustment
The standard wheel deck can be adjusted using the Up Post brackets. With your wheel installed, loosen 3 out of the 4 screws and place yourself in the rig. Slowly loosen the last screw until you feel the wheel deck moving. It will most probably drop with the weight of the wheel so be careful! You can then place the wheel according to your preference in height and angle and tighten when the position is satisfactory.
The fanatec mount can be adjusted the same way, plus some angle on the base itself and further front to back adjustment, which should be determined before installation of the wheelbase. The front mount setup is the exact same thing.
Shifter Arm Possibilities
Until we put the final touches on our series of accessories and mounting plates adapted to the gen 2 chassis, if you wish to use you peripherals mounting system by bolting to the outside of the rig, here is an alternative mounting method. If you absolutely can’t stand flipping the extrusion, be a little more patient, we’ll release our new mounting plates soon!
