HOW TO USE

Download the App
Start by downloading the “Pet Scanner by Animal ID” app. Simply scan the QR code found inside the box with your scanner to get started.

Login or Register

  • Existing User: Open the app and log in with your Animal ID account.
  • New User: No account yet? No worries! Creating a new profile is quick and easy.

Activate Your Scanner

  1. Connect your scanner to your smartphone.
  2. Press and hold the scanner’s button for 7 seconds until you hear a beep. This activates the search mode.

Connect the Device

  1. In the app, select “Add New Device”.
  2. When you see the message “New Device Found,” your scanner has been successfully detected.
  3. Press and hold the scanner’s button again for 7 seconds to exit search mode.

Complete the Setup
Tap “Continue” in the app to finalize the setup. You’re almost ready!

First Scan
Let’s perform your first scan:

  1. Briefly press the scanner’s button.
  2. Hold the scanner near Rex’s right ear to read his microchip.

View Rex’s Information
Great job! Rex’s details will now appear in your Pet Scanner by Animal ID app. Additionally, Rex’s owner will receive a notification in their Animal ID app indicating that Rex has been found.

Temperature Monitoring

If you don’t see Rex’s body temperature in the app:

  1. Gently hold Rex by his right ear.
  2. The temperature chip will warm up to 79°F (26°C).
  3. Scan Rex again to retrieve the temperature readings.

Scan the QR Tag
Enhance Rex’s safety by scanning his QR tag:

  1. Use your smartphone camera to scan the QR code on Rex’s tag.
  2. You’ll see Rex’s information, and his owner will receive a notification with your phone’s GPS location.
