FAQ

Why can’t the hard drive appear on the computer?

    1. Please check if the hard drive is M.2 NVMe M Key/B+M Key and properly inserted into the slot.
    2. Please check if your hard drive is displayed in “Disk Utility”.
Mac OS: Type “Disk Utility” in the desktop search bar and press enter.
    3. If the hard drive is brand new, it needs to be formatted and initialized.

For Mac OS, follow these steps:

  1. After connecting it to the enclosure, a prompt will appear. Right-click “Initialize” to start.
  2. Right-click “Erase”, and a pop-up window will appear.
  3. Right-click “Erase” in the pop-up window to complete SSD initialization.

For Windows OS, follow these steps (if you have Windows installed):

  1. Right-click on “This PC”, go to Manage -> Disk Management Initialize Disk.
  2. Right-click on the unallocated space, then click “New Simple Volume”. Follow the prompts to select “Next” multiple times, then click “Finish”.
  3. If the hard disk indicator is not lit, please replace the hard drive (preferably a known good one) to ensure the hard drive is not faulty.

How to connect multiple monitors?

  1. Mac MINI M4/M4pro officially supports up to three monitors.
  2. It is recommended to use the two DP interfaces on the Docking Station plus the HDMI interface on the Mac mini to connect three monitors.

How to achieve 40Gbps speed?

This product supports software RAID operations. Using the same model of hard drives in RAID 0 mode can achieve 40Gbps speed.
Without RAID 0, the speed of M.2 is 20Gbps.
Note! Using different models/brands of hard drives in RAID 0 may result in speed degradation.

What should be noted when using the product?

  1. Please use the original PD30W power adapter and connect it to the interface marked with PD before use!
  2. The M.2 hard drive interface does not support hot-swapping! Ensure the product is turned off when replacing the hard drive!
  3. When using the product to connect dual monitors, the DP signal will occupy part of the bandwidth, causing the hard drive speed to decrease. This is normal.
  4. Please ensure your hard drive is formatted as APFS/exFAT, otherwise it cannot be read on M4/M4Pro.
  5. This product only supports M.2 NVMe (M Key/B&M Key).
