AC INFINITY AC-HDS3 Hydro Sensor

BEFORE USE
- Water and 3M KCL droplets are added during the production of this product to maintain the probes’ moisture. This is normal practice and is not indicative of a used product.
- The pH and EC probes must NOT be used to measure the following solutions:
pH PROBE
- x High alkaline or salt solutions
- x Low ion solutions such as pure water, drinking water, RO, distilled, or deionized water
- x Hydrofluoric acid solutions
- x Sticky substances or organic solvents
EC PROBE
- x Most organic solutions, such as amines, ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons, etc.
- x Solutions with very low conductivity
- x Strong acid, alkali, or oxidizing solutions such as disinfectant, battery waste, etc.
- x Sticky substances

Wall Mounting
- Secure the anchor into your wall.
- Twist the wood screw into the anchor.
- Hang your sensor onto the wood screw using the mounting hole located on its backside.
- DO NOT allow the sensor hub to come in contact with any liquids.

POWERING AND SETUP
STEP 1
Remove the port caps from the hub. Align the ports with the electrode nodes and plug the pH and EC sensor probes into their corresponding ports. DO NOT TWIST or force the plugs in.

STEP 2
- For the EC sensor, use the fastener to lock the plug to the electrode.
- DO NOT TWIST the plug.
- DO NOT over-tighten.
- Do not disconnect the sensor probes from the hub while it is powered by a controller, as this may damage the sensors.

STEP 3
Plug your sensor hub into a sensor port.

Only one hydro sensor may be used per controller at a time.
BEFORE CALIBRATION
Calibrate your sensor probes before use. Ensure the following before calibration:
pH PROBE
- Shake out any bubbles from the glass probe. Do not knock the probe against any hard surfaces.
- We recommend soaking the probe in your sample solution for 1-2 hours before calibration for more accurate results. Rinse with pure water.
- Ensure the calibration solution is similar in temperature to the sample solution.
EC PROBE
- We recommend rinsing the probe with your sample solution multiple times before calibration for more accurate results. Rinse with pure water.
- Ensure the calibration solution is similar in temperature to the sample solution.
CALIBRATION & PROGRAMMING
AUTO-CALIBRATION
- To set up auto-calibration, automations, and alerts, download the
- AC Infinity app before your first use.
- Scan this QR code to view step-by-step calibration instructions.

This Hydro Sensor is only compatible with specific controller models. Please visit our website for more information.

MAINTENANCE
REGULAR STORAGE
- Ensure the probe stays moist by placing the probe head into the probe bottle when not in use.
LONG-TERM STORAGE
- For the pH sensor, add a few drops of 3M KCL solution (not included) to keep the probe moist. For the EC sensor, add a few drops of pure water to keep the sponge moist.
![]()
DO NOT store the pH probe in pure water like tap, RO, distilled, or deionized water. Doing so may damage the probe. If stored in this manner, immediately soak the probe in 3M KCL solution overmighty, then recalibrate it before next use. Pure water can be used to rinse the probes.
MAINTENANCE
RINSING THE PROBE
- Rinse off the probe with pure water before and after each test to ensure accurate readings.

REMOVING CONTAMINANTS
- Gently stir the probe in a cup of cleaning solution or mild detergent water. Use a soft brush (not included) to remove the contaminants. Rinse well with pure water to remove all traces of the detergent mixture.
- Calibrate before next use.
- Do not scratch or damage the glass probe. Use caution when cleaning.
- After cleaning, allow probes to sit in their solution bottles for about 3 hours before reuse.

FAQs
Can I use the sensor with any controller?
No, this Hydro Sensor is only compatible with specific controller models. Please visit the website for more information.
What should I do if the probe gets contaminated?
Gently stir the probe in a cup of cleaning solution or mild detergent water, then rinse well with pure water before recalibrating.
How should I store the probes when not in use?
Ensure the probe stays moist by placing the probe head into the probe bottle. For long-term storage, use 3M KCL solution for the pH sensor and pure water for the EC sensor.
