INSTALLATION NOTES
-
To ensure the IP67 waterproof rating, use the provided waterproof RJ45 connector.
-
Choose the appropriate mounting surface and hardware.
-
Remove RP1 for DB60 wall mount gooseneck bracket, or EMT pipe.
-
Exchange RP1 with the metal plug for side conduit use.
-
Apply sealant on all outdoor threads (refer to Fig. 3).
-
For direct surface mounting, secure tapping screws to compress the ‘O’ ring.
-
For a proper seal in RP1, use a network cable with a diameter of 5mm or more.
INSTALLATION
Use the hex bit to loosen the set screw securing the camera module to the socket housing and pull the camera’s mounting base away from the socket housing.
Surface Installation
- B74 v2 comes with three 90% pre-drilled hole dimples. Depending on the type of installation and mounting surface, complete drilling 2-3 holes.
- Attach the mounting template (4) to the mounting surface.
- Use template to drill holes in the mounting surface, to match the B74 v2 holes pre-drilled in Step 1.
- Insert anchors (3) into the holes.
- Use the template to drill the conduit hole for the camera cable, if using. If using the side conduit opening, do not drill the conduit hole and swap RP1 and the side conduit metal plugs.
- Secure the B74 v2 back box to the mounting surface using the tapping screws with the O-ring (2). Tighten to fully compress the ‘O’ ring.
- Use the round head machine screws (1) to secure the mounting base to the back box.
- Pull the camera’s cable into the B74 v2 back box.
- Rotate the camera module inside the housing socket to achieve the preferred view angle.
- Re-tighten the set screw to secure the camera module in position.
DB60 / Pendant Installation (Fig. 3)
Note: Do not drill holes in B74 v2 for this installation.
- Remove RP1 from the top cable opening and pull the camera’s cable through and into the DB60 or the 3/4 EMT pipe.
- Attach B74 v2 to the DB60 or to the 3/4” EMT pipe (using a conduit fitting). Add sealant to all threads as shown in Fig. 3.
- Use the round head machine screws (1) to secure the M74 camera mounting base to the M74 v2 back box.
- Re-attach the camera to the mounting base and re-tighten the set screw to secure it.
- Rotate the camera module inside the housing socket to achieve the preferred view angle.
- Re-tighten the set screw to secure the camera module in position.
