Introduction

NOTE: The number of KVM cables for KVM-080119 is 8, and that of KVM-016119 is 16.

Front Panel Buttons

1-8/16 Port Selection Switch freely from port 1 to port 8/16.
   

Reset

 

Press [1] and [2] at the same time to reset the KVM.

Press [7] and [Bl at the same time to switch to the next stage level.

AUTO/EXIT

Press this button to exit the current menu and return to the previous menu or exit the LED OSD, or enter the automatic configuration.
SL-/SL+ Press this button to move your menu to make the corresponding adjustment.
MENU SELECT Press this button to invoke the menu function and open the main menu.

Power

Solid Green KVM is powered on.
Solid Red Power off or access non-standard VESA signal.
Flashing Green Energy saving mode or no signal.

Online LED

 

Green

KVM has been connected to its corresponding computer and powered on.
Selected LED Red The computer attached to its corresponding port is up and running.
Station ID   Display the current port.

Power Input (AC) A power input port for the AC power cord
Power Switch Turn on/off the power
Ground Connecting Screw For grounding the KVM switch
CONSOLE Connect to a monitor, USB or PS/2 keyboard and mouse
Daisy-chain in Connect to a daisy chaining cable
PCl~8/16 Connect to a mouse, keyboard, and VGA port

Installation Requirements

Site Environment

  • Do not operate it in an area that exceeds an ambient temperature of 50°C or nearby heat SOurces.
  • The installation site should be well-ventilated.
  • Be sure that the KVM switch is level and stable to avoid any hazardous conditions.
  • Do not install the equipment in a dusty environment.
  • The installation site must be free from leaking or dripping water, heavy dew, and humidity.

  1. Secure the KVM switch to the rack with the screws and nuts.FS-KVM-Series-LCD-KVM-Switches-fig 12
  2. Slide the rack-mount kit into the switch’s side mounting brackets from back to front, then screw the rack-mount kit to the rack.

  1. Connect one end of the grounding wire toa proper earth ground, such as the rack where the KVM switch is mounted.
  2. Secure the grounding lug to the grounding point on the back panel with the washers and screws.

  1. Plug the provided AC power cord into the power port on the back panel.
  2. Connect the other end of the power cord to an AC power source.
  3. Open the power switch on the back panel.

WARNING: Do not install power cables when the power switch is on.
NOTE: DC power cord is not included in the accessories.

Connect the monito, USB or PS/2 keyboard and mouse to the console ports on the KVM switch (optional).

  1. Plug the yellow port of a daisy chaining cable into the yellow “Daisy-chain in” DB 15 port on the kVM switch.
  2. Plug the other blue port of the daisy chaining cable into the blue “CONSOLE” DB 15 port on the KVM switch.

Opening &Closing the Console

  1. Unlock the release catch.
    NOTE: The release catch is locked horizontally, and it can’t bear any load.FS-KVM-Series-LCD-KVM-Switches-fig 18
  2. Pull the LED panel all the way out until it clicks into place.
  3. Open the LED panel to display the LED screen; the LED panel can be rotated up to 108.

  1. Close the LED display panel and the power automatically turns off.
  2. Push the LED panel all the way in until it automatically locks up.

Local Control

  • Step 1: KVM-080119 and KVM-160119 can be set with their own keyboard and LED screen, as well as the external keyboard, mouse and monitor connected to the console ports of the KVM switch.
  • Step 2: Unlock the release catch, pull the LED panel and open the screen.
  • Step 3: Two “beeps” are heard after turning on the power switch. The ONLINE LED lights on the front panel keep green-flashing.
