Quick Start Guide

Projector Installation

You can install your projector in four different configurations, depending on your room setup:

  • Front Desktop: Place the projector on a table in front of the screen.
  • Rear Ceiling: Mount the projector on the ceiling behind the screen (requires a rear projection screen).
  • Rear Desktop: Place the projector behind the screen on a flat surface (requires a rear projection screen).
  • Front Ceiling: Mount the projector on the ceiling in front of the screen.

Note

  • After installation, go to Homepage > Settings (⚙ ) > Projection to select the appropriate projection mode. This ensures the images are displayed correctly based on your setup.
  • The projector requires a 1/4″ mounting screw, which is not included.

Power On/Off
To power the projector on or off, follow these steps:

  • Remove the lens cover to ensure the projector lens is unobstructed.
  • Connect the power adapter to the projector and plug it into a wall outlet.

Remote Control Pairing

  • Turn on the projector and wait for the pairing prompt to appear on the screen.
  • Bring the remote control within 0.33 ft (10 cm) of the projector.
  • Press and hold the Left Arrow VANKYO-V700G-TFT-LCD-Projector-image (5) buttons simultaneously.
  • Wait for the pairing process to complete.

Tip: For optimal performance, it’s recommended to pair the remote control with the projector via Bluetooth before use. If pairing is not done during initial setup, you can manually pair later by navigating to Homepage > Dashboard VANKYO-V700G-TFT-LCD-Projector-image (5) > Settings > Remotes & Accessories.

Setup Wizard
Use the setup wizard to configure the initial settings of your projector. Follow the on-screen prompts to:

  • Select your preferred language.
  • Set the correct region.
  • Sign in with your Google account for personalized features.
  • Configure basic TV settings.

Completing these steps will ensure that your projector is optimized for your preferences and ready for use.

Image Adjustment

Focus Adjustment

Auto Focus

Tip: You can enable the “Auto Focus After Boot” feature by navigating to Homepage > Settings Focus. This will ensure the projector automatically adjusts the focus every time it is powered on.

Electric/Manual Focus
If the image remains blurry or needs further adjustments, you can manually control the focus:

  • Use the Focus button on the remote to manually sharpen the image.
  • Alternatively, go to Homepage > VANKYO-V700G-TFT-LCD-Projector-image (12) > Focus > Manual Focus and adjust the focus  until the image is clear.VANKYO-V700G-TFT-LCD-Projector-image (5)

Keystone Correction

Auto Keystone Correction
The projector is also equipped with automatic keystone correction. When the projector detects shaking or rapid movement, it will automatically correct any distortion caused by the angle of projection.

Manual Keystone Correction
To manually adjust the shape of the projected image using four-point correction:

  • Go to Homepage > DashboardVANKYO-V700G-TFT-LCD-Projector-image (12)
  • Select Projector > Image Correction > Manual Keystone Correction.
  • Use the on-screen tools to manually adjust each corner of the image for precise alignment.

This allows you to fine-tune the image shape for optimal viewing, especially when the projector is placed at an angle.

Intelligent Screen Fit
To automatically adjust the projected image to fit the screen dimensions:

  • Select Projector > Image Correction > Fit to Screen.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to enable this feature. The projector will automatically adjust the image to align with the screen’s edges for optimal display.

Projector Connection and Input Source Guide
To ensure smooth operation and optimal use of your projector, connect external devices using the appropriate input source settings:

  • USB Connection: Insert a USB drive into the USB port on the projector. To access and play media files from the USB:
    • Navigate to Homepage > Apps and select IMPlayer under the “Your Apps” tab to browse and play files directly.

Tip: For basic TV functionality, go to Homepage and select IMPlayer to locate and play files stored on the USB drive without additional setup.

  • HD Connection: Connect an HD-compatible device using an HDMI cable. To select this input:
    • Use the Input button on the remote control, or go to Homepage > Dashboard Inputs and select HD.
    • This connection is ideal for high-definition sources such as laptops, gaming consoles, and Blu-ray players.
  • Wired Speaker and Headphones Connection: For audio-only devices or to enhance sound quality, connect external speakers or headphones to the audio output jack.
    • No input source selection is required for this connection. Simply plug in your device, and audio will automatically play through the connected speakers or headphones.

Wi-Fi Connection
Connecting your projector to Wi-Fi enables internet-based apps, updates, and streaming services.

Google Cast™

Using Google Cast

  • Connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure that both your mobile device and the projector are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Open Streaming App: On your device, open any Google Cast-compatible app, such as YouTube, Netflix, or Spotify.
  • Cast to Projector: Tap the cast iconVANKYO-V700G-TFT-LCD-Projector-image (14)within the app and select V700 from the list of available devices to begin streaming.
  • Enjoy Streaming: The projector will display video or play audio directly from your device, offering a seamless media experience on a larger screen.

Note: Due to copyright restrictions, some content may not be compatible with Google Cast. For these cases, consider downloading compatible apps directly onto the projector from the app store.

Using the AirScreen App
AirScreen provides full-screen mirroring, allowing you to project the entire display of your device onto the projector.

  • Connect to WiFi: Ensure both your device and projector are on the same wireless network.
  • Open AirScreen: Go to AirScreen – AirPlay & Google Cast on the projector, available within the apps.
  • Follow Instructions: Launch the app, follow the on-screen instructions, and mirror your device’s screen for a more immersive viewing experience.

BT Speaker Mode
Transform your projector into a Bluetooth (BT) speaker, allowing it to play audio directly from your mobile device.

Activate BT Speaker Mode

  • Go to Homepage > Dashboard ) > VANKYO-V700G-TFT-LCD-Projector-image (12)Projector > BT Speaker Mode to enable Bluetooth pairing.
  • Once activated, the projector will enter pairing mode and become discoverable to other Bluetooth devices.

Connect Your Device

  • On your mobile device, open Bluetooth settings, turn on Bluetooth, and search for available devices.
  • Select V700 from the list to pair with the projector. Once connected, the projector will function as a Bluetooth speaker.

Tip: To exit BT Speaker Mode, press and hold the Power button on the remote control for 2 seconds. This feature is ideal for enhancing audio without needing additional speakers, making it convenient for music or audio streaming.

More Settings
These additional settings allow you to customize the projector to fit your preferences and maintain optimal performance.

Color Temperature: Adjust the display color settings to achieve the desired viewing experience:

  • Choose from Standard, Warm, or Eye-care modes to balance color temperature for different lighting conditions and reduce eye strain.

Troubleshooting Guide

The copyrighted content from Hulu, Netflix, and similar services cannot be mirrored or cast.

  • This projector includes a selection of pre-installed, officially licensed streaming apps. To access content, go to Homepage > Apps, locate the app, and log in to your account.
  • For screen mirroring, refer to the Google Cast section of the manual for additional casting options.

Fuzzy Image

  • Adjust the focus or keystone correction settings to sharpen the image.
  • Ensure that the projector is positioned within its effective focal range.
  • Clean the lens gently using a blower or a soft-bristled brush to remove any dust or debris that may affect image clarity.

Non-rectangular Image

  • Position the projector perpendicular to the screen or wall if the keystone correction feature is disabled.
  • Use the keystone correction function to adjust the image shape for a properly aligned display.

Automatic Keystone Correction Failure

  • Confirm that the adjustment sensor on the projector’s front is unobstructed and free of smudges.
  • Adjust the projector’s position so it is perpendicular to the screen and retry.

Autofocus Failure

  • Ensure the adjustment sensor at the front of the projector is clean and not blocked.
  • Move the projector back and forth slightly until it reaches the optimal projection distance, allowing autofocus to engage correctly.

Remote Control Unresponsive

  • Verify that the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge.
  • Remove any obstructions between the projector and the remote control to maintain a clear signal.
  • Make sure the remote control is paired with the projector via Bluetooth (BT).
  • Check that no button on the remote is stuck. If the power indicator remains on without response, contact customer support or a local service center.

Connecting Bluetooth (BT) Devices
