VIOLOOP VAL11 PC Microcomputer X

Overview

Read Before Use
Thank you for choosing Violoop. Violoop is a personal PC operator device designed for use with a computer. Its on-device multimodal model analyzes content displayed on the computer screen, understands the task context, and prepares the next action. It can carry out routine actions as part of a task workflow. Before carrying out a high-risk action or an action with irreversible consequences, Violoop prompts you to approve it using the physical confirmation button.
How Violoop Works
- Local processing: Original screen images are read and analyzed locally on the Violoop device. They are not continuously uploaded to the cloud as a video stream.
- On-demand cloud access: Cloud-based models are used for complex tasks only after you actively select or authorize cloud access. Cloud access is disabled by default.
- Confirmation of high-risk actions: Violoop requests approval through the physical confirmation button before actions that involve accessing personal information, making a payment, deleting or overwriting data, submitting information, sending content, or producing other irreversible results.
- Local memory: Long-term memory is stored locally on the Violoop device. You can view, edit, export, disable, or delete this memory in the Violoop app.

Getting to Know Violoop

| Component/Port | Function |
| Physical confirmation button | Approves the pending high-risk or irreversible action. |
| OLED status display | Shows connection, operation, pending-confirmation, and error status. |
| DC power port | Connects to the supplied 12 V DC, 3 A power adapter. Connector dimensions: 5.5 mm outer diameter and 2.5 mm inner diameter. |
| USB-C data port | Connects to a full-featured USB-C port on a computer, receives screen data, and enables the computer to recognize Violoop as a standard keyboard and mouse. |
| HDMI video input | Receives the computer’s screen signal when the computer does not have a full-featured USB-C port. Follow the instructions in the app and the approved connection diagram. |
What You’ll Need
- A computer with a full-featured USB-C port. If the computer does not have a full-featured USB-C port, use the HDMI connection option.
- An iOS or Android phone that can run the Violoop app.
- An available 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- A Violoop Token Service account or an API key for a supported AI model service.
Step 1: Connect the Device
- Connect the supplied power adapter to the DC power port on Violoop, and then connect the adapter to a compatible AC power outlet. Violoop turns on automatically when power is connected; it does not have a separate power switch.
- For the preferred connection method, use the supplied USB-C to USB-C data cable to connect a full-featured USB-C port on the computer to the USB-C data port on Violoop.
- If the computer does not have a full-featured USB-C port, follow the instructions in the Violoop app to use the HDMI connection option. An HDMI cable is required and must be purchased separately.
- Wait until the OLED display or status indicator shows that the device is connected or in pairing mode.
Step 2: Install the Violoop App - Search for “Violoop” in your phone’s app store, or scan the QR code below to download and install the app.
- Open the app, and then create or sign in to your Violoop account.
- Follow the instructions in the app to add the device, pair it, and configure Wi-Fi.
Step 3: Select an AI Model Service
- Violoop Token Service: After signing in to your Violoop account, you can use the free allowance or a Personal, Work, or Enterprise subscription plan, as displayed in the app.
- BYOK: Enter an API key for a supported AI model service. The API key is encrypted and stored on the device; the Violoop team cannot access it in plaintext. With BYOK, the client sends requests directly to the selected model service provider without routing them through Violoop servers.
Using Violoop
Normal Operations
Based on the current screen and task, Violoop can prepare text, complete fields, switch between windows, and perform multi-step actions. Routine actions may not require physical confirmation at every step. Always monitor the execution status on the computer screen, the OLED display, and in the Violoop app.
Operations Requiring Physical Confirmation
- Accessing or processing sensitive information, including personal information, account information, or customer data;
- Making payments, transferring funds, placing orders, or performing other financial transactions;
- Sending messages, submitting forms, publishing content, or making commitments on your behalf;
- Deleting, overwriting, or moving important files, or making other irreversible changes;
- Other actions that the system identifies as high risk or potentially significant.
Approve or Cancel
- Review the action, its target, and its possible consequences on the Violoop display or in the app.
- If all details are correct, press the physical confirmation button on the device to approve the action.
- To reject the action, select Cancel on the Violoop display or in the app.
Common Use Cases
| Use Case | What Violoop Can Prepare | Check Before Approval |
| Email and Customer Communication | Read context, draft replies, and identify action items | Facts, tone, recipients, and the send action |
| Spreadsheets and Data Entry | Extract fields from PDFs, webpages, or systems and enter the data | Values, units, and target cells |
| Content Creation and Publishing | Organize source material, generate titles, and prepare publishing steps | Brand voice, platform, and the publish action |
| Scheduling and Meetings | Organize times, participants, reminders, and meeting summaries | Time, time zone, participants, and the invitation send action |
| Internal Systems | Prepare clicks, text input, or keyboard shortcuts based on the interface | Permissions, target controls, and irreversible actions |
Recommended First Task
Start with a low-risk task whose result is easy to verify, such as drafting an email, extracting information from an invoice, summarizing a webpage, or organizing meeting notes. After you become familiar with the review and confirmation process, gradually progress to cross-application or higher-impact tasks.
Privacy, Data, and Personal Memory
Screen Content Processing
- Original screen images are read and analyzed locally on the device. They are not continuously uploaded as a screen video stream.
- Cloud services are used for complex tasks only after you actively select or authorize them. Cloud access is disabled by default.
- When cloud access is required, only content necessary to complete the current task is uploaded. Processing by a third-party model service is also governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy.
Personal Memory
Long-term memory is stored locally on the Violoop device. In the app, you can view or edit memories, delete individual memories, clear or export all memories, or disable the memory feature.
Audit Log
The audit log records relevant actions that you have approved and is protected by a dedicated security chip and local device storage. By default, log entries remain on the device until you delete them, perform a factory reset, or otherwise erase device data. You can view, export, and delete the audit log in the app.
Before Transfer, Repair, or Return
- Export any personal memories and audit logs that you want to retain.
- Unlink the device from your account in the app.
- Delete all API keys, personal memories, and audit logs.
- Perform a factory reset, and confirm that the device no longer contains or displays your personal data.
System Compatibility and Display
| Item | Current Support Status |
| Windows | Windows 10 or later |
| macOS | macOS 15 or later; earlier versions have not been tested |
| Linux | Intended to support mainstream distributions released within the past two years; broad compatibility testing has not been completed |
| HarmonyOS | Not currently supported |
| Video Input | Up to 4K at 60 Hz. Available resolution depends on the computer port, cable, and display settings. |
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Recommended Action |
| Device does not respond | Check the AC outlet, power adapter, and DC power connection. Reconnect power and wait for the device to start. |
| Screen content is not detected | Confirm that the computer’s USB-C port supports video and data, and then reconnect the cable. If it is not a full-featured USB-C port, follow the instructions in the app to use the HDMI connection option. |
| Computer does not recognize the keyboard/mouse device | Reconnect the USB-C data cable, try another computer port, and confirm that the cable supports data transfer. |
| Wi-Fi setup fails | Check the Wi-Fi password and frequency band, move Violoop closer to the router, restart the device, and repeat the pairing process. |
| Suggestion is inaccurate | Reduce the scope of the task and specify the target, fields, and output format. Start with a low- risk task in a single window. |
