    Question

Why do some apps not rotate the screen on my Huawei Mate 10?

    Answer

If some apps on your Huawei Mate 10 are not rotating, please check the following settings:

    • Enable Auto-rotate: Swipe down from the status bar to open the notification panel and ensure the Auto-rotate shortcut is turned on. Alternatively, go to Settings > Display and toggle on Auto-rotate screen.
    • App Compatibility: Please note that not all apps support landscape mode. Many third-party apps (such as certain social media apps or games) are designed to run only in portrait mode, and the system cannot force them to rotate if the developer has restricted it.
    • Home Screen Rotation: By default, the home screen may not rotate. To enable this, touch and hold an empty area on the home screen, go to Settings, and look for the Auto-rotate toggle specifically for the home screen.

If the issue persists across all apps, including the Gallery or Browser, try restarting your device to recalibrate the sensors.
