Innoteck WEEE Recycling Policy
Why Recycle
In the UK, unwanted electrical items are one of the fastest-growing types of waste. Many of these items can be repaired or recycled, which helps conserve natural resources and protect the environment.
If electrical equipment is not recycled, it often ends up in landfill, where hazardous substances can leak and pollute the soil and water. This not only harms wildlife but can also impact human health.
To help remind you of the importance of recycling, electrical products are now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Items with this symbol should not be disposed of in your household waste bins.
What is WEEE
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive aims to reduce the environmental impact of electrical goods by promoting their recycling and environmentally friendly processing. This directive requires the separate collection and responsible treatment of electrical waste.
