Getting Started

Before operating the Nilfisk SC530, it is crucial to read and understand the full User Manual. This guide provides a quick overview of key maintenance and operational steps.

Daily Use & Maintenance

• Ensure the battery charger cable is disconnected from the mains supply before use.
• Fill the clean water tank, ensuring water temperature does not exceed 40°C.
• Connect and secure the squeegee if it is not already attached to the machine.
• Lower the brush deck using the pedal and engage the brush with the handle switch.
• Adjust the solution flow level based on your cleaning needs and the surface being cleaned.
• After cleaning, empty the recovery tank and solution tank using the provided hoses.
• Clean the recovery tank and vacuum grid with clean water.
• Remove and clean or change the brush/pad holder as needed.
• Detach the squeegee to remove any debris and inspect/clean the squeegee blades.
• Clean the filter by removing the transparent cover and gasket.
• Wipe down the machine with a damp cloth, using a neutral cleaning product if necessary.

Battery Care

Charge the batteries by connecting the battery charger cable to the mains supply. A full recharge typically takes 10-12 hours. It is recommended to charge the batteries after every use to maintain optimal battery life and prevent damage.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Machine not working as expected:

Check power cable connection and battery charge status.

Suction not working:

Ensure the suction hose is correctly installed and clean. Verify the recovery tank and vacuum grid are clean, and check squeegee blades for damage or dirt. Ensure the recovery tank cover is properly closed and the gasket is in good condition.

Machine not cleaning effectively:

Confirm correct water settings are applied and check the solution filter for cleanliness.

Brush not working correctly:

Verify the brush is installed correctly and not worn out. Check for brush motor overload (indicated by flashing LEDs) or obstructions preventing brush rotation.
