Connect an external subwoofer using the SUB OUT and a subwoofer cable (not included). It is recommende to use the BASS FILTER (below) when using an external subwoofer.
BASS FILTER SWITCH
It is recommended to switch the BASS FILTER switch to ON when using an external subwoofer to allow the speakers to focus on clear mids and highs while the subwoofer handles the bass. Using the BASS FILTER without a subwoofer connected will decrease the bass output for quieter listening, similar to Night Mode features found on other audio devices.
SPEAKER PLACEMENT
Victrola Tempo speakers are designed to work seamlessly in any space and at any distance from each other. However, if you want to optimize their performance here are a few recommendations:
· Place the speakers at least 6′ apart from each other for the best stereo separation. · Position the speakers an equal distance from the primary listening position. · Keep the speakers at least 6″ from the wall to allow proper bass port clearance. · Align the tweeters at eye-level for the best listening experience. If needed, you can adjust the angle
of the speakers using speaker platforms, stands, or wedges, such as the Victrola Angled Bookshelf Speaker Stands (VA-400W) (Sold Separately).
CHANNEL SWITCH
If you prefer placing the primary speaker on the left side you can change the channels of the speakers. Ppress and hold the multi-fucntion knob for 5 seconds then release. A voice prompt will say `Right’ or `Left’ to indicate which channel is assigned to the primary speaker. NOTES:
· During unboxing and after a factory reset the primary speaker defaults to being the right channel.
