Frequently Asked Questions
I am using one monitor for two systems. It switches over with a single button click. possibly 2 seconds.
3 Feet. The monitor’s male plug is on the cable. You can always buy an extra VGA Cable with a female plug on one end and a male plug on the other if you need a longer run.
I’m not certain. It is one of a number of devices that draw power from my PC using a typical USB connector. It doesn’t appear to draw much at all because it has never caused a problem. Despite having the same voltage as comparable devices, the iphone and ipad require somewhat more power. I would assume that you could utilise it, but I can’t guarantee it. If you really want to be extra safe, I would suggest asking the vendor before using.
I only used it on six-foot cords, which were short. Due of interference between the two sources, I had to return the equipment. The switch wasn’t adequately isolating the signals. I decided to get a Kramer switch instead. Although much more expensive, it generates a clear signal without any degradation.
Yes, no issue.
Using the connector did not result in any discernible signal degradation, in my opinion. However, the shared third monitor lost signal when I unplugged my laptop because the shared monitor requires both systems to be connected.
This VGA adapter displays output from your PC to two additional VGA monitors, making a total of three monitors.
It claims to provide a resolution of around 1920 x 1440. Although I haven’t used it there, it performs well at lower levels.
The switch is not powered.
In my setup, I may choose “Duplicate,” “Extend,” or “Projector Only” from a menu by pressing FN+F4. One computer, two monitors, and no software are required. I’m not aware of any software that allows you to connect two computers to two monitors using a single keyboard.
