BEFORE INSTALLATION
- Choose an Appropriate Location
- Select a dry, well-ventilated area that allows for easy access to the control panel and power hub, ensuring it is away from heat sources, moisture, and moving parts.
- Plan Wiring Routes
- Map out the wiring paths to ensure neat and safe installation, avoiding sharp edges and hot surfaces. This will also help you determine the amount of wiring needed. Measure at least twice.
- Inspect Components
- Inspect the cables for any damage, including frayed insulation, exposed wires, or broken connectors. Using damaged wires can lead to overheating, short circuits, and potential fire hazards.
- Electrical Ratings
- This power hub has specific voltage and amperage ratings for power input. DO NOT EXCEED THESE RATINGS. Ensure this power hub is installed in a properly functioning vehicle with a properly functioning electrical system.
- The user is responsible for connecting compatible 12V accessories to this power hub. This power hub is intended to connect power to 12V DC automotive accessories that are within the amperage ratings provided. It is essential that ratings are followed. Do not connect a 12V accessory that is malfunctioning or damaged to this power hub.

CAUTION: RED and BLACK wires must be connected for proper under voltage protection. Failure to do so may result in system damage or malfunction.
CIRCUIT FUSE BLOCK
Before choosing a circuit for your lighting setup, verify the amperage rating required by your device. Each circuit has a maximum load rating and your device should not surpass this limit.
Refer to the following table for circuit configuration:

CAUTIONS:
- The maximum capacity of the power hub is 60A. If you connect multiple lights or electrical devices that exceed this limit, they must not be turned on at the same time. Doing so may damage the power hub.
- Do not mix fuses with different amperage ratings in the fuse block. Each fuse is specifically designed to protect its corresponding circuit. Always ensure that the fuse rating matches the specifications of the circuit being protected.
- Once the installation is complete, test the power hub to ensure that it is working correctly and safely. Turn on each light or device one at a time to ensure that they are all working correctly and that the power hub is not overloaded.
LIGHT CONTROL MODE SETTINGS
Switch Panel/Keypad Introduction
Switch Panel/Keypad Programming
- Power on the switch panel/keypad by pressing
- Press and hold
for 2 seconds until the switch panel flashes red.
- Press
to cycle through the light control mode settings: Momentary > Flash > Strobe. Switch panel visual indicators explained below.
- Fast blink: Momentary Mode
- Slow blink: Flash Mode
- Rapid blink: Strobe Mode
NOTE: While in the light control mode settings, the accessory buttons will flash red. Additionally, the accessory indicator will be red and solid above the accessory you are currently controlling. Pressingwill change the backlight of the accessory buttons to blue for flash and strobe modes.
- When you have determined your preferred light control mode, press the accessory button you wish to program.
- Press
to save and exit the light control mode settings.
Returning To Constant Mode
- Press and hold
, the accessory buttons will flash red.
- Press
to switch to the mode you previously set for the light. A solid red accessory indicator will appear above the corresponding accessory button.
- Press the button with the solid red accessory indicator. This will turn the indicator off.
- Press
to save constant mode and exit light control mode settings.
NOTE: If you prefer to reset all the lights to constant mode, press and hold for 8 seconds.

APP INSTALLATION
The auto-sync feature in the TYPE S LED App allows you to manage the control panel and power hub’s functions from your phone. To access this feature, scan the QR code below or search for “TYPE S LED” on the App Store or Google Play. Download and install the App.
Compatible with iPhone, iPad, Mac and iPod touch with iOS 14 or higher.
Compatible with devices running Android™ 9.0 or higher.
NOTE: Not all AndroidTM phones are equipped with Bluetooth® v4.2 required for this application.
CONNECTING THE APP
- Select SMART LED SWITCH to begin.
- Click 6-SMART SWITCH PANEL & POWER HUB. If your device is powered on and within a 30-feet Bluetooth® range, the App will connect automatically. The screen will switch to the main interface.
USING THE APP
- Master On/OFF Switch
Toggle switch to turn all connected devices on or off. - Firmware Versions
Check the current firmware versions of your control panel and power hub.
Device Configuration
Customize the names and icons for each of your connected devices. Click to access the following settings:

Rename Your Devices
Assign new names to each connected device, with a maximum of 9 characters each.
Select Icons For Your Devices
- Choose from the library of preset icons to best represent your connected devices.
- Alternatively, click “Using Photograph” to select icons from your gallery.

- Accessory Indicator
When the red accessory indicator is on, flashing or strobing, it means the device is powered on. - Accessory Button
To control an individual device, select its corresponding button. A white frame will appear around the selected device. Click the button again to turn the device on or o?.
Select Keypad Backlight
Choose your preferred keypad backlight color from the 49 existing presets.
Alternatively, click “Photo Match”. You can use the camera to capture the desired color, or import a photo from your smart device and tap on the area where you want to color match your keypad backlight. Add the color and confirm your selection.
Keypad Brightness
Slide the bar to adjust keypad brightness.
Light Control Mode Setting
To change the light control mode, select the device you wish to adjust, then choose your desired mode.
NOTES:
In Flash Mode, you can set the flash speed by sliding the bar.
When using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to control your devices, Momentary Mode will be temporarily disabled, and the devices will automatically switch to Constant Mode.
APPLE CARPLAY / ANDROID AUTO
You may access the TYPE S LED App through your vehicle’s Apple CarPlay / Android Auto system. Make sure the TYPE S LED App is enabled on your mobile device’s Apple CarPlay / Android Auto settings. To enable the TYPE S LED App, follow the instructions below.
iPhone/iPad:
Settings > General > CarPlay > My Car(s) [CarPlay System Name on Vehicle] > Customize > More Apps > + (add) TYPE S LED.
Android:
- Settings > Connected devices > Android Auto > Customize [from Android Auto interface on Vehicle] > Select TYPE S LED from mobile device’s customize launcher > Restart vehicle for TYPE S LED App to appear on vehicle’s Android Auto interface.
- Once the TYPE S LED App is enabled in Apple CarPlay / Android Auto, you may turn accessories on and o?, name the accessories, and control them within the TYPE S LED App: TYPE S LED > Smart LED Switch.

TYPE S
LIMITED WARRANTY
TYPE S warrants, to the original purchaser, that its products are free from defects in material and workmanship for 2 years from the date of original purchase. Where permitted by law, TYPE S’s liability shall be limited to that set forth in this limited express warranty. This limited express warranty shall be the exclusive remedy of the purchaser and TYPE S makes no other warranty of any kind aside from the limited express warranty stated above.
NOTE: Warranty only applies for North American customers of purchases made in North America.
CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY
If during the 2-year warranty period your new product is found to be defective, TYPE S will repair such defect, or replace the product, without charge for parts or labor subject to the following conditions:
- All repairs must be performed by TYPE S.
- All warranty claims must be accompanied by a copy of the sales receipt or bill of sale.
- The equipment must not have been altered or damaged through negligence, accident, improper operation, or failure to follow the product instructions for installation, use, or care.
- The replacement of parts is excluded from the warranty when replacement is necessary due to normal wear and tear.
- Repair or replacement parts supplied by TYPE S under this warranty are protected only for the unexpired portion of the original warranty.
- This is a “repair or replace” warranty only, and does not cover the costs incurred for the installation, removal or reinstallation of the product, or damage to any mobile phone device or vehicle.
