Play on APP (About Wi-Fi and APP)
The Wi-Fi feature allows wireless pairing with your smartphone to instantly access recordings from the dash cam. You can view, download, and share videos easily.
The "WOLFBOX" app is a free application that enables operation of the dash recorder from your smartphone.
How to connect Wi-Fi?

Edit and share Your Videos in the App
In the app, you can view and edit downloaded local albums and share them with others.
How to Play Using a Computer
WOLFBOX recommends the application "GPS Media Player" for watching dash cam videos and viewing Google Maps. Download it for free for Mac or Windows from: https://wolfbox.com/gps-player/
The GPS Media Player interface includes:
- Video play window (Front)
- Video play window (Rear)
- Map and track display
- Play control panel
- Speed and driving state indication
- Play list
Note: If you record front and rear dash cam videos simultaneously and add them to the playlist, you can play them side-by-side in split-screen mode. To play a video file, drag and drop it onto the video player.
Installation
Before installing your dash cam, please test its functionality with all accessories and change the default settings to your preference.
SD card installation
Ensure the dash cam is powered off when inserting or ejecting the SD card.
Unit installation
- Place the head unit (WOLFBOX Mirror) onto the rear-view mirror, ensuring the silicone brackets separate the device from the rearview mirror. Secure the device with the rubber straps. Adjust the front lens to the desired angle.
- Connect the car charger to the charger adapter to supply power for the dash cam.
Power ON/OFF
- Short press the power button to turn on; long press to turn off.
- When using the car charger, if the cigarette lighter port is ACC, the dash cam will automatically turn on when the car is started.
Rear camera installation
If you do not need to adjust the angle, you can remove the iron plate.
Rear Camera Wiring Instructions:
- Connect the rear camera cable to the mirror: Plug the rear camera cable into the AV interface of the unit.
- Rear camera cable routing: Route the rear camera cable to the rear of the car, leaving some slack. Insert the cable into the gap in the front windshield and along the upper edge of the door using the included tool. If installing the rear camera inside your car, fix it on the rear windshield after routing the wiring.
- Remove the panel: Open the trunk and remove the interior panel covering the area near the license plate light. Use a trim removal tool or thin device to pry the panel open.
- Fix the rear camera and connect cables: Fix the rear camera near the license plate light using 3M glue. Route the rear camera cable through the license plate light hole to the rear camera.
- Connect the red wire to the reverse light's positive terminal: Locate the positive terminal of the reverse light (the terminal with voltage when the car is in reverse gear). Strip the positive cable and wrap it with the red cable from the camera. Insulate the connection with electrical tape. Test the connection by putting the car in reverse gear to see if the dash cam enters reverse mode.
GPS Installation
Position 1: Install the dash cam in the right corner of the central console and hide the wiring along the edge of the front windshield using double-sided tape. WOLFBOX usually recommends this position for optimal use and installation convenience. You may test different locations, ensuring the black side faces up to receive the GPS signal.
Once the GPS is installed and a signal is received, the GPS icon on the home screen will appear, and the device will show direction and speed.
Trouble Shooting
- Can rear camera images be transmitted wirelessly? No, the G850 Pro uses a rear camera cable for video transmission. Wi-Fi is solely for connecting the phone to the dash cam.
- Is it possible to monitor the vehicle remotely via Wi-Fi? No, due to the limited Wi-Fi range, remote monitoring via the App connecting to the G850 Pro is not possible.
- Rear camera image blurred or not detected? For a blurred image, ensure the protective film is removed and the lens is clean. If high temperatures cause focusing issues, contact WOLFBOX support. For "Rear camera not detected" errors, check the AV input on the mirror and the rear camera cable for damage, especially at the connector.
- How to connect the unit to App via Wi-Fi?
- Ensure Wi-Fi is manually turned on in settings.
- Download the latest "WOLFBOX" app from the app store.
- Check your smartphone's Wi-Fi list for the "WOLFBOX" network.
- If the app displays "Connection Failed", find "Get Support" in the app to contact WOLFBOX.
