3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. Retain packaging materials for future transport or storage.

3.2 Placement

The dehumidifier can be installed in two primary ways: on a level surface or suspended from floor joists.

3.3 Drainage Options

The unit offers continuous drainage to eliminate the need for manual water emptying.

3.4 Ducting (Optional)

For distributing dry air to specific areas, a duct adapter (sold separately) can be attached to the air outlet. This allows for connection to standard ducting.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Control Panel

The unit features a digital control panel that displays current humidity and temperature. It can be operated directly on the unit or remotely using the extended control panel.

4.2 Initial Startup

  1. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. Press the Power button to turn on the unit.
  3. The display will show the current ambient humidity and temperature.

4.3 Setting Desired Humidity

Use the "+" and "-" buttons on the control panel to set your desired humidity level. The unit will operate until the set humidity is reached, then cycle on and off to maintain it.

4.4 Mode Selection

Press the "Mode" button to cycle through available operating modes (e.g., Continuous, Auto). Refer to the display for the active mode.

4.5 Timer Function

5. Maintenance

5.1 Filter Cleaning

Regular cleaning of the air filter is crucial for maintaining efficiency and extending the lifespan of the unit. The filter is washable.

  1. Unplug the dehumidifier from the power outlet.
  2. Locate and remove the air filter.
  3. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling.
  5. Reinstall the dry filter and plug the unit back in.

5.2 Auto Defrost Function

The unit is equipped with an automatic defrost system. When frost builds up on the evaporator coils, the unit will temporarily stop dehumidifying and run the fan to melt the frost. This ensures continuous operation in low-temperature environments.
