TECHNA LEDARM Series Modular Arm LED Strip Instruction Manual

APPLICATION
The LEDARMs are LED strips that has red and green lights that can be inserted into the BGARMS to add visibility to the arm. LED strip compatible with barrier gate arms in the BG24DC barrier gate operator series. The LEDARM10 is compatible with BGARM10, the LEDARM12 is compatible with the BGARM12 and the LEDARM14 is compatible with the BGARM14. If the modular arm with the LED was purchased (BGARM xx LED), the items in the packing list are in addition to what is listed on the Modular Arm instructions.
NOTE: Only one LEDARM strip is recommended per arm.
LED STRIP ASSEMBLY
- If the endcap is in place, remove it from the arm.
- Feed LED Strip, cable side first, into the arm channel on desired side of arm.
NOTE: The connector needs to be near the bracket when LED strip is in place. LED strip should be inserted into the channel facing oncoming traffic.

NOTE: LED strip should slide freely if installed correctly. - Insert clip into the arm channel at the end of the LED strip over the cable.
- Cut excess LED strip if necessary. Use termination marks on the LED strip for guidance on where to cut. Termination marks are every 6″.

Figure 2 - Place the end cap on the end of the arm.
- Insert a clip into the arm channel at the end of the LED strip.
NOTE: Two clips will be used.

To reduce the risk of INJURY or DEATH, turn both the AC Power and Battery switches to OFF position BEFORE servicing operator or installing arm. ALL electrical connections MUST be made by a qualified individual.

For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov. - Attach the LED wire connector into the mating connector from the arm bracket wire harness and screw until hand tight.
IMPORTANT: When routing cable ensure there is no pinching, catching, or interference with breakaway/swing away bracket installation type if being used.

a : Breakaway Arm Installation (recommended for PBG and CBG models)

Route and secure LED mating connectors near the pivot screw.
When the arm breaks away from the bracket, the connector should safely pull apart and disconnect.
b : Swing away Arm Installation (compatible with PBG and CBG models)

Route and secure LED mating connectors near the pivot screw, in order to prevent cable tugging and damage during swing away motion.
c : Fixed Arm Installation (compatible with PBG and CBG models)

Route and secure LED mating connectors near the pivot screw. Note that the cable needs to be routed around the nylon nuts.
