How this SWF reader works
Chagua eneo .swf file, drop it onto the page, or enter a cross-origin-accessible URL. The reader validates the SWF header before attempting playback and reports the signature, SWF version, declared length, compression type, stage dimensions, frame rate, and frame count.
Bila kubanwa FWS files can be inspected directly. For CWS files, the browser attempts zlib decompression so it can read frame metadata. ZWS identifies LZMA compression; this page reports header metadata but does not include an LZMA SWF-body parser.
Playback support and limits
Playback is best effort through Ruffle. If that runtime is blocked, offline, or incompatible with the file, the metadata view remains available. Some ActionScript behavior, embedded codecs, fonts, network requests, and legacy Flash features may not reproduce exactly. This is a reader and inspection tool, not an SWF editor or converter.
- Ndani file bytes stay in the browser; URL mode fetches the address you provide and requires CORS permission.
- Tumia files you trust: legacy interactive content may contain scripts or external links.
- A failed animation does not necessarily mean the SWF container is corrupt; check the reported signature and metadata.
