Product Introduction

The Universal IR remote control with a temperature and humidity sensor can remotely control IR home appliances such as TVs, Air-conditioners, TV boxes, lights, Fans, Audio devices, etc., via a mobile app. It also allows real-time monitoring of temperature and humidity on the app anytime and anywhere.

Front Side

The front side features an LCD screen displaying Date, Time, Wi-Fi icon, Temperature, and Humidity. The screen indicates the current date and time, Wi-Fi connectivity status, measured temperature (e.g., 23.0°C), and measured humidity (e.g., 58%RH).

Back Side

The back side includes a Type-C Port for power, a button to connect to the Wi-Fi network, and a bracket for mounting or positioning the device.

°C & °F Option

Press the button once to switch the temperature units displayed on the screen between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).

Checklist Before Using the Device

1. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
2. Input the correct Wi-Fi password.
3. Your smartphone system version must be Android 4.4+ or iOS 8.0+.
4. Your Wi-Fi router should have MAC filtering enabled (MAC-open).
5. If the number of devices connected to your Wi-Fi router reaches its limit, try disabling another device to free up a channel or use a different Wi-Fi router.

How to Set Up

Step 1: Download and Install App

Scan the provided QR code [QR Code] or search for "Smart Life" in the Google Play Store or App Store to download and install the application. The app is available on Google Play [Google Play Icon] and the App Store [App Store Icon].

Step 2: Register with Email Address

Register for an account using your email address or mobile number. You will need to enter a verification code sent to your registered contact.

Step 3: Connect to Wi-Fi

Connect your mobile phone to your Wi-Fi router. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile phone. Open the Smart Life app and select "+ Add Device". Press and hold the button on the sensor for 5 seconds; the Wi-Fi icon [Wi-Fi Icon] on the sensor display will indicate connection status. The app will show "Discovering devices". Tap "Go to Add" to connect the device to the Wi-Fi network automatically.

Step 4: Add IR Device

In the app, tap "IR+TH", then click "Add". Select the IR device type and then the related appliance. Choose between "Quick Match" or "Manual Mode". In Manual Mode, you will need to match at least 3 buttons from the appliance's original remote to ensure the device reacts properly. Once matched, the device can be controlled via the app. If adding multiple devices of the same brand and type in one room, rename them differently to prevent control confusion.

DIY Learning Mode

If the device's brand is not found in the app's list, you can use the "DIY" option to learn the buttons from the original remote control. After learning one button, you can click "+" to continue learning more buttons or click "Finish". The process involves pointing the universal remote controller to the device and pressing the button below to match, then pressing the desired button on the original remote. The app waits to receive data for learning. Buttons like "Turn on" and "Turn off" can be learned.

Notes:

• This device supports only 38KHz frequency. If the IR remote cannot receive commands, the IR device's frequency may not match, preventing successful command learning.
• DIY mode does not support voice control.

Functions: Create Scene

You can create smart scenes for your IR devices. Navigate to the "Scene" page and tap "+" in the upper right corner to set conditions and tasks. Examples include automation based on weather changes (e.g., turn on fan if temperature exceeds 28°C), location changes (e.g., turn off devices when you leave home), schedules (e.g., turn on lights at 7:00 AM daily), or device status changes. Home automation helps save time and effort by automating routine tasks.

Device Sharing

Share your added devices with family members through the "Home Management" settings, allowing them to control the devices as well.

Monitor Temperature & Humidity

Real-time temperature and humidity readings can be monitored on the app. You can take actions to make necessary adjustments. The app allows switching between °C and °F units by tapping the temperature value display.

Third-Party Voice Control

The device is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control.

1. IR Remote Control Capabilities: The remote can control various appliances including TVs, Air-conditioners, Fans, DVDs, TV boxes, Lights, Set-top boxes, Projectors, Audio systems, Cameras, Water Heaters, Air purifiers, and more.
2. Installation Precautions: IR signals cannot penetrate walls. Ensure there are no physical obstacles between the IR remote and the IR devices for optimal performance.
3. Compatibility with Set-Top Boxes (e.g., Huawei/Xiaomi): Set-top boxes can be OTT or IPTV. IPTV supports live streaming, while OTT does not. Ensure your TV box type matches the remote's compatibility before setup.
4. Reasons for Unable to Use IR Remote:
   • Verify the IR remote is powered on.
   • Confirm your mobile phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
   • Check network connectivity and ensure the router is functioning correctly.
   • Double-check that the Wi-Fi password was entered accurately.
   • Ensure both the IR remote and the appliance are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
5. Temperature and Humidity Precautions: After initial setup and configuration, allow approximately 30 minutes for the temperature and humidity readings to stabilize and become accurate.
