When installing various MX-Modules, they must be connected from left to right sorted by the ascending number of lines (incl. line with arrow). The following illustration describes the correct procedure. WARNING Order of expansion modules If you connect MX-Modules in the wrong order, errors might occur and correct function can no longer be ensured. 3 PREPARATION Remove the upper and lower cap from your blue'Log X basis device. Disconnect your blue'Log X basis device from the power supply. Remove the cap on the right side of the case from your blue'Log X basis device according to the manual. INSTALLATION The blue'Log X basis device ñ is expanded by the MX-Module RS485/422 ò with two additional interfaces ó and ô. 3 1 2 4 ñ blue'Log X basis device ò MX-Module RS485/422 ó RS485/422 interface 2 ô RS485/422 interface 1 4 Connect the MX-Module RS485/422 ò* to the blue'Log X basis device ñ* until no visible gap remains. Check for secure fit. Interlock both modules (ñ* and ò*) by closing the previously opened case locks. Reattach the previously removed side cap to the right side of the expansion module and fasten it by closing the case locks. *Refer to point 3 5 PIN ASSIGNMENT The following pin assignment can be applied to both (top and bottom) RS485/422 interfaces (ó* and ô*).
