1. Install the filter either vertically or at a 90° angle to the pipe. Ensure the flush valve is oriented downward or to the side.
2. Verify the flow direction according to the markings on the filter body.
3. Ensure both flush valves are fully closed. 4. It is recommended to install a shut-off valve upstream of the
filter to allow for easy maintenance. 5. The filter is now ready for initial operation.
INITIAL OPERATION
1. Gradually open the water source and check all connections for leaks.
2. Perform 23 flushing cycles following the instructions in the next section.
3. The filter is now operational.
AUTOMATIC FLUSHING PROCEDURE
Flush the filter when the head loss reaches 0.50.7 bar (710 PSI).
Pressure Monitoring 1. Pressure can be measured manually by inserting a gauge into
the pressure ports on the filter body. 2. For easier monitoring, a pressure indicator is recommended:
· The indicator features a red button that pops up when pressure loss exceeds 0.5 bar, signaling the need for flushing.
· After flushing, the red button retracts, indicating normal operation.
· The indicator is connected directly to the built-in pressure testing ports.
· When installed, the pressure indicator eliminates the need for manual pressure checks.
FLUSHING STEPS
1. Open the flush valve slowly. 2. Turn the scanning handle counterclockwise until it stops
(the handle will rise upward). 3. Close the flush valve slowly and check the pressure:
If a pressure indicator is installed, verify that the red pin has retracted. 4. If pressure remains high or the red pin stays raised, repeat the flushing cycle. 5. If the filter is still not clean after repeated flushing, proceed with the manual cleaning procedure.
Note: Water flow to the irrigation system remains uninterrupted during automatic flushing.
