Pink Mouse Pad DIY Flattening Method
Reason Analysis
- Mouse pads are flat when they leave the factory, but after long sea transport and storage, they may become curled and uneven, even heavy objects can't restore them to their original state.
- Another reason is that the factory's light strip circumference is relatively larger than the rubber pad's, leading to unevenness after curling and shaping.
Steps
Step 1
Peel off the bottom sticker on the back of the control switch - remove the screws and take out the controller.
Image shows the underside of the mouse pad's control module. A sticker is being peeled off, revealing screws. The small controller board and its casing are visible. The sticker details include: 'Soft Cloth RGB Mouse Pad', 'Model: GMS-15', 'Rating: 5V=100mA', and certification marks 'CE', 'FC', 'RoHS', and 'UK CA'.
Step 2
Pull on one end of the strip and push the rubber pad to one side until the entire rubber pad is pushed flat, at which point the strip exposed at the controller will be longer than before.
Image shows a hand pulling the edge of the mouse pad, separating the rubber from the light strip. A close-up shows the light strip becoming exposed as the rubber pad is shifted.
Step 3
Cut off the excess light bar according to the controller bay and install the control switch.
Image shows the light strip being trimmed to fit the controller bay. The controller module is then reinstalled. A final image shows the completed mouse pad with the RGB light strip functioning.
