General Warnings & Safety

WARNING! Read the instructions before use.

The Deluxe Video Baby Monitor is intended as a monitoring aid and not as a substitute for adult supervision. Keep packaging materials away from children.

General Safety Precautions:

  • Do not use if the product or components are damaged. Contact qualified personnel or dealer.
  • Do not attempt to repair the product yourself. Contact Artsana S.p.A. Customer Service.
  • Do not open the devices; they contain no user-serviceable parts and opening may cause electric shock.
  • Place units out of reach of children on a flat, stable surface.
  • Keep units and adapters out of reach of children; cords can pose a strangulation hazard.
  • Regularly check signal reception, especially before each use and at maximum intended distance.
  • Maximum operating distance is approximately 220 meters in open space; range may be reduced indoors due to walls, furniture, metal structures, and electromagnetic interference.
  • Do not expose units, batteries, or adapters to weather (rain, sun). Use parent unit on battery power only outdoors; adapters are not for outdoor use.
  • Keep units and adapters away from heat sources (radiators, stoves, direct sunlight) to prevent overheating.
  • Never use units near water (bathtubs, sinks, wet surfaces). Do not immerse or wet the units/adapters. If dropped in water, contact expert personnel.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation for units and adapters to prevent overheating.
  • Avoid use near fluorescent lamps or other electrical appliances (TVs, computers, radios, microwaves) that may cause interference.
  • Use only supplied AC/DC adapters or identical types. Using other adapters may damage the unit and pose a danger.
  • Ensure adapter voltage matches your mains supply and plug is compatible.
  • Connect adapters to accessible sockets, out of children's reach. Position cords to prevent tripping, entanglement, or access by children.
  • Units and adapters may become warm during operation; this is normal.
  • Periodically inspect adapters for damage; do not use if damaged.
  • Unplug adapters when not in use or when units are disconnected.
  • Adapter power cords are non-replaceable; replace the entire adapter if damaged.
  • The baby unit has a photosensitive sensor that activates infrared LEDs for night vision. Infrared LEDs are not visible and are not harmful. Check night vision by observing the parent unit display in low light.
  • Risk of Explosion: Do not replace batteries with incorrect types.
  • It is not advisable to look directly at infrared radiation with the naked eye or optical devices.
  • WARNING: The transmitter, adapter, and power cord must be kept out of reach of children.
  • When lullabies play, sounds from the baby may be less audible; monitor the parent unit attentively.
  • Night vision alters image colors; images appear black and white in darkness, which is normal.
  • When using the 'Talk to Me' function, avoid speaking too close to the parent unit microphone to prevent excessively loud sounds reaching the child.
  • Do not press 'Talk to Me' if units are too close (within 3 meters) to avoid noise or rustling.
  • Product performance may be reduced if multiple monitoring devices are used simultaneously.
  • If parent unit volume and display are deactivated, speaker volume automatically resets to level 1 for continuous monitoring.
  • Adjusting or deactivating parent unit volume also adjusts/deactivates acoustic alarms; pay closer attention to the parent unit in such cases.
  • Battery Disposal Warnings: Do not dispose of batteries in fire, hot ovens, or crush/cut them (risk of explosion). Avoid extremely high temperatures or low air pressure environments for batteries. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat.
