Introduction
You have just purchased an ATOLL CD player with exceptional audiophile performance. Thank you for your confidence in our products. To get the best performance from your CD player, please read this manual carefully.
Concerning This Owner's Manual: Paragraphs enclosed in a grey frame pertain only to appliances equipped with the optional Digital board.

Connecting the CD Player
Rear Panel Connections:
- 1) Outputs L/R Channel: Analog audio outputs for left and right channels.
- 2) Coaxial Output: Digital audio output for connection to a Digital-to-Analog Converter (D/A).
- 3) Optical Output: Digital audio output for connection to a Digital-to-Analog Converter (D/A).
- 4) Power Input: Connection for the power cord.
- 5) Power Switch ON/SLEEP: Main power switch ?.
- Optional Digital Inputs:
- a) USB Input (optional): For connecting USB storage devices.
- b) Digital Input (Coax.) (optional): Coaxial digital audio input.
- c) Digital Input (Optical) (optional): Optical digital audio input.
Details of Front Panel Functions
- 6) Disc Tray: ? Ejects or closes the CD tray.
- 7) Previous Track: Moves to the previous track or searches backward [◀◀].
- 8) Next Track: Moves to the next track or searches forward [▶▶].
- 9) Open/Close: Opens or closes the disc tray.
- 10) Play & Pause: Starts playback ▶️ or pauses playback ⏸️.
- 11) Stop: Stops playback ⏹️ and resets functions.
- 12) ON/SLEEP: Puts the player into standby mode or cancels all functions.
Selection of Digital Inputs (Optional): To use the digital inputs (digital and USB), place the CD player in SLEEP mode using button 12. Then, you can select the desired input using the 'Previous Track' (7) and 'Next Track' (8) buttons on the front panel.
Remote Control Functions
Keys 7 to 12 on the remote control have the same functions as the corresponding buttons on the front panel.
- 13) TIME: Displays the running time of the current track. Pressing once more displays the remaining time of the track.
- 14) CD - DAC: Selects digital inputs. Options include COAX, OPT, and USB, navigated using the Left and Right keys.
- 15) Rear Fast Search: [Rewind] key.
- 16) Forward Fast Search: [Fast Forward] key.
- 17) A-B Repeat: Allows selection of a specific reading zone from point A to point B. While playing, press this key to mark the start of zone A. Press a second time to mark the end of zone B. The selected zone will play repeatedly until the A-B key is pressed again.
- 18) Repeat Mode (REP): This function can be used while a disc is playing. Press REP to choose the repeat mode:
- R1: Repeats the current track. Confirm by pressing the ENTER key. The display will show 'R1' between the track number and time.
- R: Repeats the entire disc. Confirm by pressing the ENTER key. The display will show 'R' between the track number and time.
- 19) PROGRAM (PROG):
- Press PROG. The display shows the number of selected tracks (Nb 0) on the left and the track selection (Tr 1) on the right.
- Choose the first track of the program using selection keys 7 & 8. Confirm by pressing PROG.
- Select all desired tracks for the program using the same procedure.
- The display shows the number of tracks (left) and a 'P' symbol. The total time of the program can be viewed by pressing TIME. Press PLAY ▶️ to start the programmed playback.
- Press the STOP key ⏹️ twice to cancel the program.
- 20) SHUFFLE (SHUF): Press SHUF. The display shows 'S' between the track number and time. The disc will play all tracks in random order. Press STOP ⏹️ to cancel random playback.
Combination: It is possible to combine a program with the REPEAT function (display shows RP) and SHUFFLE functions (display shows RS). SHUFFLE and PROG menus are not available while a disc is playing.
USB Input
Your appliance is equipped with a High-Resolution asynchronous USB Input (Type B). To use this feature, you must download the appropriate driver from the ATOLL website: https://www.atoll-electronique.com/en/xmos-specific-driver-usb/
This driver is not required for MAC or Linux computers.
For optimal transfer of High Resolution files (24 bits/192 kHz), it is recommended to use a USB interconnect cable with ferrite beads.

Compatibility
This player can play CD and CD-R discs. Supported formats include MP3, WMA, and AAC.
CD Text: Some discs have 'CD Text' information available, which displays the artist name and track titles. This text is automatically read at the beginning of each track.
E.C. Marking
This E.C. marking certifies conformity with the low tension directive 73/23/CEE, directive CEM 89/336/CEE, and their national transpositions.
Warranty Conditions
The guarantee period is two years from the date of purchase. We recommend asking your dealer to complete the guarantee certificate and to keep it safe. The guarantee is valid only for appliances used correctly.
Maintenance
Before cleaning, switch off your CD player (using button 5). Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the appliance. Never use acetone, white spirit, ammonia, or any product containing abrasive agents. Never attempt to clean the inside of the appliance.
Cautions
- Do not make any connections while the device is turned on.
- Install your appliance in a dry, well-ventilated area away from any heat source.
- Ensure nothing is placed on top of your CD player.
- Avoid short circuits.
- In case of a problem, never attempt to repair, disassemble, or rebuild the device yourself, as this may cause severe electric shock.
- Avoid operating your CD player near a tuner, as this may interfere with the tuner's HF reception.
Advises
- To optimize the performance of your device, switch it on at least half an hour before listening. This allows the output stages to reach their ideal working temperature. Your device will provide optimal listening quality after this warm-up period.
- Between uses, it is preferable to leave the device in standby mode to maintain its optimum temperature.
- At night or when leaving your home, it is best to turn off the device using the main switch.
- To optimize sound quality, we recommend choosing good-quality connection cords. Consult your specialist dealer for advice.
