1. Introduction

4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Preparation

Unpack the chassis and place it on a stable, flat surface. Gather all necessary PC components and tools (screwdrivers, anti-static mat/strap).

4.2. Panel Removal

The side and top panels of the Lian Li A3-mATX chassis are designed for easy removal, allowing full access to the internal components. Simply pull on the designated tabs or edges to detach them. The mesh design of the panels also contributes to excellent airflow.

4.3. Motherboard and CPU Cooler Installation

The chassis supports M-ATX and ITX motherboards. Install your motherboard and CPU cooler (air cooler or AIO) according to their respective manuals. The spacious interior allows for large air coolers up to 165mm in height.

4.4. GPU Installation

The chassis accommodates large GPUs up to 415mm in length with 4 slots. Ensure your GPU is securely seated in the PCIe slot on your motherboard.

4.5. Power Supply Unit (PSU) Installation

The Lian Li A3-mATX offers flexible PSU installation options, supporting ATX, SFX, SFX-L, and LIAN LI Edge PSUs. These can be mounted either sideways or frontways depending on your configuration needs and other component sizes.

4.6. Fan and Radiator Installation

The chassis supports extensive cooling configurations, including up to a 360mm radiator and 10 x 120mm fans. Strategically place fans for optimal airflow, considering intake and exhaust points.

4.7. Cable Management

While the A3-mATX is compact, careful cable routing is essential for optimal airflow and aesthetics. Utilize the provided zip ties and routing channels to neatly organize cables. The mesh panels conceal internal wiring, making clean management less critical for visual appeal but still important for performance.

5. Operating the Chassis

Once all components are installed and secured, connect your peripherals and power cable. The chassis is designed for continuous operation, providing ample airflow through its steel mesh panels. Ensure the power supply switch is in the 'ON' position before attempting to power on your system.

Regular maintenance helps prolong the life of your PC components and ensures optimal performance.

• Dust Cleaning: Periodically remove the side and top mesh panels and use compressed air to clean dust from the interior of the chassis, fans, and heatsinks.
• Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Component Checks: Ensure all cables are securely connected and components are firmly seated.
