Before beginning installation, measure your opening to ensure proper fit. The gate is designed for openings between 29.5" and 43.3" wide. Do not cut the belt on the gate until installation is complete.

Method 1: Pressure Mounted Installation
- Insert the 4 tension bolts into the 4 corners of the gate/extension.
- Place the gate in the desired opening. Ensure the bottom of the gate frame is close to the floor and does not hang on the ground.
- Rotate the tension bolts clockwise to tighten them against the walls. Adjust until the gap between the gate door and frame is approximately 0.078 inches (2mm).
- Once the gate is securely installed and stable, cut the belt.
Method 2: Hardware Mounted Installation (for stairs)
For stairway installations, hardware mounting is recommended for added safety.
- Pre-assemble the gate and position it in the desired location. Mark the four points for drilling where the wall cups will be placed.
- Remove the gate. Drill pilot holes and insert dry wall anchors if needed.
- Secure the wall cups with screws.
- Re-insert the tension bolts into the gate and place the gate into the wall cups.
- Tighten the tension bolts until the gate is secure and stable.
- Once the gate is securely installed and stable, cut the belt.
Bohlokoa: If the gate is used at the bottom of the stairs, it must be placed on the lowest stair. If used at the top of the stairs, it must be placed on any stair below the level of the top stair.

- Gate feels loose: Re-tighten all tension bolts until the gate is firmly secured in the opening. Ensure the gap between the gate door and frame is minimal (approx. 0.078 inches).
- Gate does not auto-close/latch: Check if the gate is installed correctly and is level. Ensure there are no obstructions preventing the gate from swinging freely. The auto-close function works when the gate is opened less than 90 degrees.
- Bothata ba ho bula heke: Ensure both the top and bottom buttons are pressed simultaneously as instructed.
- Gate is too wide/narrow for opening: Verify the correct extensions are used for your opening width. Refer to the installation diagrams for proper configuration.
