  • WARNING: All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.
  • NOTE: Please keep this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.

Unlock the Packaging Locks

(The packaging locks are not included in a sealed box.)

  1. Turn the packing locks anticlockwise several times.

  • For your child’s safety, do not let your child play with the toy until it is fully assembled.

GETTING STARTED

  • WARNING: Adult assembly required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

Battery Removal and Installation

  1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.
  2. Locate the battery cover on the back of the unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover.
  3. If used batteries are present, remove these batteries from the unit by pulling up on one end of each battery.
  4. Install 2 new AA (AM/3-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box (for best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended).
  5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.vtech-579003-53-Activity-Table-FIG-5

IMPORTANT BATTERY INFORMATION

  • Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
  • Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
  • Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
  • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
  • Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
  • Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES

  • Remove rechargeable batteries (if removable) from the toy before charging.
  • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
  • Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

Disposal of batteries and products

  • vtech-579003-53-Activity-Table-FIG-6The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and batteries, or their respective packaging, indicate they must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain substances that can be damaging to the environment and human health.
  • The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked, indicate that the battery contains more than the specified value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb) set out in the Batteries and Accumulators Regulation.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

With the Busy Bee Activity Table, safety comes first. To ensure your child’s safety, adult supervision is required. For your child’s safety, do not let your child play with the toy until it is fully assembled.

  1. Installing the Panels
    • Combine the 3 panels in order according to the numbers marked on the back, and fasten them with nine screws.vtech-579003-53-Activity-Table-FIG-8
  2. Installing the Beehive
    • Align the top of the beehive to the beehive base and press down to make sure it inserts properly.
  3. Installing the Flowers
    • Insert the 3 gear flowers according to the size of the holes in the panel.
  4. Installing the Bead Tracks
    • Align the two ends of the three bead tracks with their corresponding holes on the panels and insert them securely.vtech-579003-53-Activity-Table-FIG-9
  5. Installing the Table Legs
    • Attach the table legs by inserting them into the sockets located at the bottom of each panel.
  6. Removing the Table Legs

PRODUCT FEATURES

  1. On/Off/Volume Switch
    • To turn the unit on, slide the Off/On/Volume Switch to the Low volumevtech-579003-53-Activity-Table-FIG-13 or the High volume positionvtech-579003-53-Activity-Table-FIG-14.

  2. Automatic Shut-Off
    • To conserve battery life, the Busy Bee Activity Table will automatically power down after a period of inactivity. To reactivate, simply press any button or turn the storybook.
    • NOTE: If the unit powers down or if the light fades out during play, please install a new set of batteries.

  1. Light Up Buttons
    • Press the Light Up Buttons to see a fox pop-up, hear sounds, melodies, sing-along songs and fun phrases.
  2. Storybook

  3. Flower Gears
    • Turn and see all the Flower Gears spin.
  4. Beehive Sorter
    • Sort the blocks into the Beehive Sorter, then pop them out.
  5. Forest Friends Maze
    • Slide the Forest Friends back and forth.
  6. Wiggly Honey Bear
    • Wiggle the honeypot to make Bear dance.
  7. Bead Tracks

CARE & MAINTENANCE

  1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
  2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
  3. Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period.
  4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces, and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If, for some reason, the unit stops working or malfunctions, please follow these steps:

  1. Turn the unit off.
  2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
  3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
  4. Turn the unit on. The unit should now be ready to use again.
  5. If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
